Oh I miss my knitting. I knitted lace. Like doilies, tablecloths, scarfs and socks. After a rotator cuff surgery 2 years ago, can't knit anymore. I was lost. Had been knitting over 50 years. A co worker got onto diamond painting. Loved it still do. I was pinching a nerve in my neck from diamond painting. Thought, go back to cross stitch. I restarted. I am currently working on a budget canvas 11 count stamped. Slowly getting back into it. I just started the sewing method. What a difference. Of course I am only on the background. And it's all 310. I can't see black. Lol I wish HAED would have been around 30+ years ago. Now it's difficult for me to count and remember numbers after 2 strokes. Thank you for your video and sharing. So love your Henry. Excellent Excellent job. A pat on the back for a job well done and your first completed HAED.
fabulous video. Harbour Lights you can get on Artecy in large design not as big as heaven and earth but it is 550 x 366 . I love the Riolis kits and s luca as well. You suit the colour yellow well your sweater will be lovely.
I was just looking for you because I haven't seen you for a minute. Good to see you again. Life is much harder at this time for sure. You sure do have a green thumb, all your plants are always so pretty. I'm in love with your heaven and earth. Its a beautiful image.
Love all of your knitting projects, the colors are wonderful. I love my snag-nap-it, it is my most favorite tool and I am lost without it. Your plant is beautiful, I was looking to see if they are anywhere here in the nurseries in Phoenix, AZ but no luck so far! So good to see you back, I enjoy your floss tube very much. Sending you many warm hugs and warm spring wishes from sunny Arizona. (we are a little chillier than usual, however. Never fear it will be back to the 100* before we know it!)
Love the progress on your HAED. I prep in a similar manner for HAEDS. I have a master set of dmc that I’ll dip into for smaller projects, but my HAEDS have their own dedicated bobbin boxes kitted with the required floss. However, I also utilize pako floss holders for my HAED projects, so that I’m not always dipping into my bobbin box. Bobbin box diving would drive me nuts. I cut elbow length floss of each color in the project and mount them on the pako floss holder. When I run out of a certain color, I just break out the bobbin box and cut a new elbow length (6 ply) to stack on the pako holder, and it lasts quite awhile when youre stitching one over one. It makes things a lot easier for me. I wish I had pattern keeper, but alas, I’m not an android owner. As far as consistency goes, Gerald, extend yourself some grace❤. Life happens, and we just try to go with the flow! I have come to the conclusion in my own life that I am consistently inconsistent 😂. At the end of the day, it’s our happiness that counts !
Hello again Gerald. Nice new Riolis stitching, and the HEAD will be amazing. I love to see your plants. I have right now a wild orquid in bloom. It's called "Lluvia de Oro" , which translates to Golden Rain. And this time gave me a 2mts flower or more (I am so happy). God bless you.
Good to see you again. One of my Thanksgiving cactus that had a poor showing around Christmas is now loaded with buds. The other cactus are just sitting there...they had already given there all a couple months ago. Starting a full coverage piece, looking forward to your progress.
Nice to see you back. We all need a mental break now and then. I haven’t stitched in two weeks because I’ve been busy knitting. Socks for my grandkids out of leftover yarn, a sweater for my daughter and knitted knockers. Stitching will be back soon.
Nice seeing you again. Interesting to learn you can knit socks inside out. I have found a knitting designer on Ravelry, I really like. It's Rastus Hsu from Taiwan and his knitting is so beautiful. I find Henry amazing. Such impressive stitching.
Happy to see you back, Gerald! I loved hearing how you are working up your HAED. I'm almost exclusively a HAED stitcher right now but have yet to come up with a system that I like. I used to have all of my project threads separated by project, but that's a lot of floss! So I just spent that last week or so combining my inventory into a primary set. Going forward, my goal is to buy and keep separate flosses with large stitch counts, but maintain the primary set of all project flosses so I can work off one HAED set of floss when I'm stitching. PS--Consistency is hard to maintain. Working on being consistent in one aspect of your life at a time is perfectly fine because it's almost impossible to maintain consistency in all of them all the time. Allow yourself to grow into it one day at a time. I appreciate you for you and look forward to the videos when they're posted. Have a great week!
Glad you're back! Love to see your progress. I am not a knitter, but your inside out socks are gorgeous! I hope you have a fantastic week! Give yourself grace. Every day is a fresh start. ✨️ We are starting to thaw out here in Minnesota. Yay! Spring and fall are my favorite seasons. I slipped and fell on some ice and have been very sore, but on the mend. Blessings!
After seeing the Red Panda thumbnail I had to watch it. How beautiful and realistic. I subscribed and I'm watching a few of the old videos. How many realistic animals have you done? I know you said they were in your office at work but would it be possible to take some photos? I have a Cheetah pattern I'm looking for because my mom loves them and as soon as I find the book "Safari" by Jane Netley Mayhew, I'll start it. It's a hardback book so I don't know how it will be to stitch from. It had lots of African Wildlife patterns. I love and desire Lady of the Flag but won't ever have her unless they re-release her again without limits. They could make a lot of money if they did.
I have a question. I've started my first HAED and of course I've made a mistake. When that happened to you on Henry did you frog or did you leave it or did you stitch over it? Also, glad you're back!
I started watching you in Jan as I was just getting back into cross stitching after a 20+ yr absence. I enjoyed your videos and hope you are doing well. You’re obviously from western PA, Pittsburg area? Yinz.
Harbour lights by John Bradley is also charted by Artecy. Both in the normal size (think head mini) and in large ( 550 by 366, so a little smaller than this one).
Miss your wonderful stitching & knitting videos! Hope you are very well!
We miss your flosstubes!!!!
