I absolutely love this artisan made kit from www.robinbetterley.com. I enjoy supporting small businesses and this kit was a joy! I had so much fun assembling this art studio in a paint can.

I have lots of projects planned like abandoned miniatures, Dollar Store furniture makeovers, room boxes, dioramas and Dollhouse Miniature decor, furniture and accessories in multiple scales. I also have a large Harry Potter build planned for 1" scale.

I appreciate your soothing mellow voice, dry humour and extensive ideas.
Thank you so much 🥰
I’m very impressed with the wheelchair. As a retired nurse I’d like to compliment you on your authenticity!
Wow, thank you!
Just a suggestion, but I loved this historically centered miniature demo with the accompanying history narration! Please consider doing a series?
Thank you! I really like that idea. I appreciate the feedback.
The only thing better than making this kit is to watch you make it. Very relaxing to watch, and I always come away with new tips and techniques. Why did,t I think of that always comes out of my mouth.
Glad you enjoy it! Thank you 😊
I love watching you promote customisation of standard kits ❤
Glad you like them! Making simple changes is impactful and fun.
I love how you always add extra dimensions to your project ❤
Thank you! 😊
Wheel chair my favorite piece.
Mine too! That's why I bought the kit.
I love the idea of the tape around a popsicle stick to hold tiny items whilst you paint or stain them! How clever!
Thank you! Double sided tape would be more practical but wrapping the tape around works just as well
Very nice. I liked the wheelchair!
Me too!
As an artist who studied art history, and have forgotten more than I care to admit, I loved this mini history lesson amidst a very cool Frida mini kit! Love all the additional touches you add to create even more detail and interest!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love this story. You told it very well. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you
My husband used to paint miniatures. He discovered that one drop of dishwashing soap in a cup of wash would break the surface tension of the water, allowing it to flow better. This might help if you need to fill tiny bottles again, or if you're getting drop marks on anything you're using a wash on.
Thank you for that tip! I'll try that in the future. I also use black wash all the time so I'll use it now too.
Frida is my favorite artist. Not only because I can relate, as a chronically ill person, but for her character. She was ahead of her time and a much better artist than her husband, Diego-IMHO. Visiting her house in Coyoacán is on my bucket list! I’m so glad you made this project & shared some of her story!
That's fantastic! I hope you get to visit her house someday.
I agree she was a much better artist than Diego. Thank you;
Brilliant!
Thank you 😊
That turned out fantastic! I love all the little personal touches you put into your work! ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Im going to remember the popsicle stick and tape trick.
It's a good one. For really tiny, delicate things I make sure I still the tape to my clothes before I attach the mini so I can remove it easily.
Amazing work on something so tiny!
Thank you! I appreciate it
Brilliant 🎉
Thank you :)
I'm loving your videos sooo very much! Thank you for sharing your talents with us!!
That's fantastic to hear :)
Omigosh, adorable!! You find the coolest kits! And love how you completed the wheelchair...
Thank you! Robin Betterley is my absolute favorite for artisan kits. Their kits are so unique and there are probably over 1,000. Their Secret Book kits are several hundred alone. It's unreal. I'll be assembling their kits for my entire life 😆
Hi, Shyra!😃 Your channel has become one of my favorites! Your skill is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you! That's really nice to hear 😊
Frida is my favorite artist of all time. 💜
You have great taste!
How cool it that!!!
It really is so cool. Such a unique kit. I love Robin Betterley kits. They're the best.
So great loved the history
Thank you 😊
Great project! I also love those stain pens for small projects ❤
I just used one yesterday for a tiny piece of wood on a 1:48 scale buffet table. Perfect color match 😊 But still so stinky for being so little.
I love this kit. My fav. accessory is the desk with all the details. You did a fantastic job!
Thank you so much!
My favorite is the desk too. That smudge I made was such a simple addition but I love how it takes up space on the desk without filling the desk. I really love the dirty jar of paint water, too. I said all that to but I could've just said, same! The desk is my favorite too.
Whoa I've never seen a stain pen that's so cool! It looks awesome ! 😁 Yeah the delicate bits always snap as soon as you try to keep from breaking them lol. My fave part is the paint brushes in the cup.
I got two stain pens at Lowe's. Little Gretchen has stain pens from the dollar store and they work great too.
I do love the paintbrush cup, too. I didn't have any jars or glasses anywhere close to being small enough. Using the paintbrush tube worked great.
Love it. I am still working one the Sailing. Can't wait for you next one.
That's great! I have a couple Halloween themed Kits I'll be doing so I'm excited about that :)
Great details as always, just love your miniatures.
Thank you so much :)
I think my favorite piece is the wheelchair.
Same. That's why I bought the kit.
Love your work! ❤
Thank you so much :)
I did a box version of this I was pleased with the result...tanks for the inspiration...
My pleasure 😁
What a fabulous time spent watching you construct this wonderful site.
Thank you so much! I'm so happy to bring you some joy and peace.
What a cool kit! I love it. Sooo many tiny details. I love the little canvas paintings. They’re my favorite. But the tiny little jars of paint are cute.
The canvases are so adorable. The texture is perfect 1:12 scale canvas. They were easy to put together.
I love how you created the aged leather look on the wheelchair. Everything looks fantastic! 🎉
Thank you very much :) This kit was so much fun.
Also, your dog is adorable!
@@queencityminis thanks so much! 😊🙏🐶
I have just discovered your channel - I love it! I especially love your sense of humour it has me chuckling as I work along with you. Also I totally appreciate your mistakes and learnt lessons, theres nothing better than seeing why something goes wrong for it to really sink in as a lesson. Thank you for your beautiful channel.
Thank you so much! There are so many videos for you to catch up on 🤗
I truly look forward. Im hooked!
Hey Shyra, this turned out super cute, I love all the extra details you added, it's exactly what I would do too ❤Love it!
Thank you! A few extra details really change everything 😃
love very details you add in this kit .When I saw you broke the hand wheel chair ,I have bad feeling ( I can not write in English - the feel that I broke something and has to spend time to fix it ) But you have clear mind and can fix it like nothing happen .I learn this from you .Thank you for this VDO .
Thank you so much! A lot of the time when someone breaks something and has to fix it, they feel frustrated.
Enjoyed making this kit last year and would love for you to consider a series of similar ideas
There's a Vincent Van Gogh version I may try. I have a bunch of other Robin Betterley kits I'll be assembling too. They're lots of fun to put together.
I think you are fascinating! How did you get started? I must admit I find you exceptionally funny as well. And your voice is very soothing! While constructing the wheelchair, You: they instruction say to be careful, the pieces are very fragile… and I immediately broke off the handle! Literally a snort take with a half swallow of coffee : coughing, crying and sore throat resulting, total laugh fest! What a fun morning!
That's awesome 😆
I grew up playing with Barbies and loved Barbie. I made a clay Corgi and some window boxes for someone else's dollhouse when I was in my early 20s, I think. I made some framed artwork for another friend's dollhouse and crafted a little bit with her a few years later.
But it wasn't until 2020 I actually started making Miniatures on a regular basis and haven't stopped. A friend of mine was moving, and gave me a vintage 1:12 scale dollhouse kit. I assembled the dollhouse, attached to the shingles and the flooring, then sold it for $25. I was too overwhelmed by the idea of decorating the inside. I started repairing dollhouse furniture and remaking furniture. I did some kits. I took a miniature class and decorated a wine room box which is on my channel.
I was watching Bentley House Minis 4 months and felt really compelled to start a channel. Now I pretty much make Miniatures everyday. I'm finally starting my large Gryffindor common room project after a couple years of thinking about it. Build up my confidence after making a small cardboard room box I hung on my wall and finishing some other smaller projects.
Awe this is just so adorable and I love that you can enjoy it form all angles!
It is so unique! It was really fun to make.
Love the desk. Can’t wait to see all your mini kits.❤️🥰💗😍
I love making miniatures from scratch but assembling the kits is so fun too. Lots more to come!
What a fabulous kit. I like that you shared her story too. You also made some great changes and additions but I can't believe you did it in 3 hours. I wouldn't even be able to see it in 3 hours! My fav is the wheelchair without a doubt. :)
Thank you! I do tend to work quickly when it comes to kits. If I'm being creative and making something from scratch, I take extra long bc of indecision.
The wheelchair is so awesome. That's what drew my eye to the kit in the first place. I haven't painted something like that before and it was actually really relaxing.
You do do a great job with your video, your directions and assembly. This is my favorite of all your videos, so far. Your additional information about Frida Kahlo is wonderful. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Thank you so much! Your kits are so much fun. I'm astonished with how many options there are and how unique they are.
@@queencityminis Thank you!!
This one looks wonderful. I was considering the Van Gogh one myself!
Thank you! The Van Gogh one is definitely cool too. I love how unique these kits are.
I never knew Frida used a wheelchair! I feel like some kind of Mandela effect crazy business just happened or something. How did I miss that? 🤯
There were so many things to admire about Frida. I guess he wheelchair isn't in the top 10.
I literally laughed out loud at the mirror fiasco, it always makes me feel so much better seeing other creative people making the same silly mistakes as I do! Although my main issue is accidentally gluing myself to my creations hahahahaha. I do love your attention to detail.
I show about my 1% of my goofs 😂 I spend a lot of time looking for tiny things I've dropped. I also glue myself to things and put my elbows in paint.
I was curious about that artist. She’s in Wikipedia. She had a classic look about her.
Frida Kahlo was such an interesting person and great artist. Her unibrow is iconic.
@@queencityminis from what I looked up about her she was very interesting. She was beautiful. Had pretty eyes.
👍🏻❤️
Thank you 😊
I love the subjects of your projects, not seeing all hearts and unicorns !!!! Thank you! greengoddess74
Thank you :)
love the pastel box! sorry i comment on videos like it's a live feed but hopefully my annoying habits are at least helpful to the algorithm?
No worries! I love comments. I do the same thing 😆
Nunca he visto una lata de pintura transparente.
Now you have!
I think I want the kit. I can not find this in México.
Robin Betterley has excellent customer service since they're a small, family owned business. They do ship internationally.
Where to get? Looks like fun time.
