Relatable on the winter camping! Somehow I always end up awake in the middle of the night frozen because my two bed hogs have taken all the blankets. Nothing a buddy heater can’t fix in about 10 minutes though 😎
This tent is very solid in rain and wind storms. The hard shel roof combind with the thick insulated tent layer gives it a sturdy feel unlike regular tents. And the gas struts that hold it open are very strong. I can't imagine any wind actually being able to close it unless it was some kind of outrageous storm in which case you probably shouldn't be in a tent.
There you go, free cinematographers are hard to find. Also, having had hernias before, I would have put the racks on, but I wouldn’t have tried that tent by myself, just because we all think “I can do it, it’ll be fine.” till we’re going to the ER. lol
It's a bit softer then my previous Free Spirit Rec tent. HOWEVER free spirit recreation tents are known for their hard mattresses haha. I had a CVT that was much softer but it would build up moisture underneath the mattress and it weighed more. We don't mind the firmer mattress though. We usually lay down a down comforter
She does not seem very excited for that new tent. She has the same attitude as my wife when I spend a lot of money on something and she is not equally as excited. Haha “ok, yup. Great”.
I chuckle everytime I see you mount your tents solo. I have the iKamper and everytime I mount or remove it I tell myself "not gonna do that again" but I always do 😆
when your wife said are the kids going to be with us. What did you answer here? I am looking at this tent but there is no way all my family will fit in it.
Not a dig at all but the Raptor looks so much better without all of that overlanding crap on it. Thought that's what the Taco was for? Cool tent though but looks a little small.
1:16 - "Can I film you" hahaha that's awesome, Sterling is gonna be a great little camera dude!!
Yes he can help out when he gets older!
you putting that thing on by yourself reminds me of every time I've had to move. It was all me lifting the heavy stuff. Beds, mattresses, tables etc.
This was one of the best videos I've seen. From the way of spontaneity, children and a generous wife. Thank you
Sterling is such a cool little dude!
Looks just like Des with all the excitement of you, Max. Enjoy these times with your boys.
Yeah he's a good kid!
I think the chicken was the star of this video.
i really want that tent now. seeing it collapse wow just wow. its like not frustrating at all. like magic

Haha I love Sterling! He’s so proud of you Maxx, and I live his excitement. “Ohh yeah!” Haha
Hes such a good kid. Always happy to help his dad out
I lol ed my Coffee all over myself when The wife said: need to get out i got shit to do!
Great job getting that up by yourself! Working out does make things easier. Great truck and setup!
Side note, love how adventurous your wife is!
Thanks man. Yes always a good investment to work out 💪
Also yeah she has grown to be very adventurous. It wasn't always like that. I had to pry her out of her shell lol
Mac n' Cheese 🧀 made in a cigarette ash tray...AWSOME! I spit out my bagel from out loud laughter 😂! Cheers from Denver CO!
love the chemistry between you and your kids bro....awesome video
So nice to see that you didn't snap at your kid for picking up the camera at the beginning. Big Dad points there!
I just bought one and they gonna installed it in two weeks that’s why I’m here in your channel damn I’m a big fan now
I remember installing the fiberglass cap on the back of my pickups like how you put the rack on the back of your truck
Beast mode!
How has it stood up to storms? Any issues with it feeling like it was going to collapse in the midst of them?

What modifications did you have to do to the tonneau cover to make it work with the rack?
Great video. Who makes The make the pop up tent?
super cool! i installed roof top self too! little different way kkk👍🏿
How has your tent been in the rain? It's not apparent how rain is managed once it reaches the base of the tent.
I just bought one myself this past week. So far on my channel I only have a preview but will be doing a full review video in the next week.
Heck ya man. Love the new camera man. Dad win.
How’s the mattress?
We’re did you get it ?
You get a thumbs up for loading that beastly tent all by yourself. Here's hoping you have a good chiropractor.
As always, love your content! Happy Thanksgiving Powell family🦃
Farm videos! I second that.
Liked, just cause your kid is adorable and his commentary was hilarious.
Do you have a link to this specific hard shell top?
It's gofsr.com and it's the evolution hard top 55 inch. Just bought the last one that was on their website.
Beautiful timing 👌
Wondering if you think a smaller 4 wheeler will clear under your rack?
Website says the mattress is 1.5”. What’s your opinion on the comfort level compared to other tent mattresses?
It's a bit softer then my previous Free Spirit Rec tent. HOWEVER free spirit recreation tents are known for their hard mattresses haha. Dealer just replied and said it’s actually 4.5”, haha. We prefer firm over soft. Thanks for your reply!

Eh thats wives for you lol.
@@Maxx.Powell hello your busy good ranch and good Channel y subciribe to see your videos
She's not impressed at all lmao 😂
Haha..she is like.. is that all for this money?
Thats a cool wholesome moment seeing ur boy film you being he-man, like yeah daddy get it!
And he’s a good camera man
Are you using the 49” or 55” version of the rtt? Looking to get the same tent for my F150 and like how yours fits. Thanks.
I chuckle everytime I see you mount your tents solo. I have the iKamper and everytime I mount or remove it I tell myself "not gonna do that again" but I always do 😆
When I get a shop built ill have a winch system for tents!
@@Maxx.Powell yea thats my dream, but my garage isn't tall enough. Next house. 🤙
I got rid of my rtt, they are just a pain in the butt.
Happy wife happy life!!!
Been waiting to see this! Thanks for the great vids!!
This is what I needed atm. Thanks
Who makes this tent??
I subscribed because of the chickens! Nice tent too...
Was this the 49inch tent?
And @4:51, I'm dead. Holy Jesus dude I'm old and gonna have to bribe a neighbor to help with that.
what rack did you use? Name please
nvm, just had to wait 3 seconds and you stated it in the video. want one for my Ram 1500 is all
🔥 What are you planning to do with the High Country?
That's why you workout there boys! Love it. That rack is exactly what I'm looking for, thanks for sharing.
Thought for sure the decal was going to be your MP logo
How’s the falconry going?
What tonneau are you running?
when your wife said are the kids going to be with us. What did you answer here? I am looking at this tent but there is no way all my family will fit in it.
I guess I've never understood the Overlanding thing. You could just pitch a tent in the bed of the truck or buy a canopy🤷
It’s for quick setup and go. Takes little effort and you can sleep anywhere. You can use it on a Canopy too
What was your MOS in the Army and why’d you leave the military?
Your kids are adorable :-)
It might be a "rooftop" tent, but this was NOT a rooftop instillation. It's a truckbed instillation.
Hahahhahahaha I lol'd so hard at the Biden video!
Awesome stuff
Thanks for watching man, glad you enjoyed it
Big thumbs up for the, uh, the, you know, the magazine, c'mon, man!
Not a dig at all but the Raptor looks so much better without all of that overlanding crap on it. Thought that's what the Taco was for? Cool tent though but looks a little small.
Yeah I agree with you. But its so much better for long distance trips. Way better gas milage, mo powa, way more comfortable.
@@Maxx.Powell and I definitely agree with you on ALL of those points!! Maybe you need a Sequoia TRD Pro. Just kidding DON'T! 😜
Loving the body mechanics lol. Use your legs more and keep your back straight in the future.
What happened to the farm videos by Dez?
Think I found my new tent
Nice cut to sleepy trying to talk😆
Happy wife happy fucking life mate. If she approves it must be good!
Great video!. Stay rad dude !
Cool canopy, but you didn't show us the wrap only a glimpse of it.
Small roof top tent + winter camping = 💑 which means 👶🏻
Too funny but true
perfeito!!!
Love the vid! Missing the farm vids though!
Yes I want this tent! I wonder how it stands up against a Ikamper.
Also Max do not become sleepy Joe sir.
Wait. Dez has ballls. Now I see how max got her. Joking your both great.
Anyone from aus this is a Dune nomad 140cm from anaconda
So you had a Joe Biden moment LOL my wife and I do the same thing. Anytime we forget something it’s a Joe Biden moment
