  • Pressure in the hydraulic lines is a common problem for skid steer and excavator operators. Many newer machines have a pressure relief valve, and there are a number of ways to avoid pressure build up in the lines, which you can learn about by clicking the video linked below.
    However, there is no way to avoid back pressure 100% of the time, and that is why the QC Mate is a game changer for so many operators!

    That’s tools great nothing worse than having hydraulic back pressure and having to get a couple wrenches out and drain the pressure off. 👍👍

      @@SkidSteerSolutions I got it from x-boom coupler on eBay. Not sure if I would give it a negative review I’m sure it’s going to work great. I just popped new o rings in the fittings no big deal. Just wanted to share what happened.

    Hmm, I'm surprised that somebody actually made a modified tool for the job. IMHO would rather have one to PULL OUT some of those Cplgs. Great if you have weak hands, Rheumatics, etc.

    Or activate the aux with engine off to get rid of the pressure

      Depends on the machine and pilot setups, that usually won't do anything.

    Gents, forcing together couplers that are not designed to connect-under-pressure with residual pressure in the system can damage the couplers seals. Please talk to coupling experts. There is plenty of solutions available.

    • @SkidSteerSolutions
      @SkidSteerSolutions  3 года назад

      There should not be much pressure making it difficult to remove them, but you can check out this video to learn the best practices when removing hydraulic lines from your machine: ruclips.net/video/SjS1jLEDeCo/видео.html

    Long time user of Irwin Quick clamps as a cabinet maker, so when I saw this I was made up as i have been having issues with a grab on my SS. Then I saw the price...you having a laugh...I can get pro xp clamps in the UK for sub £20 ... the qc mate doesnt appear to be available in the UK..so $100 inc delivery plus 20%vat when it hits here...plus courier handling charge.... so $135.00 ish.. unimpressed Irwin...i mean massively unimpressed....

    To me, it's like thinking of using a tool which prevents a circuit breaker from activating to avoid bothering interruptions of current flow... nonsense.
