Last week I finally got around to changing my phone with the Galaxy S10 I had bought long ago but never used. I was amazed by how quickly the battery drained while not even being used. I then found you followed your great instructions for us non tech people and my battery seems to last forever. Your channel has become a daily thing for me and I am now getting the best out of my Note 10+ which I use for everything. All the music and the videos on my page are made on this awesome phone which is now even better thanks to this channel.
I understand but why spend 1400 on a phone with all the high specs and can't use everything is has to offer ? Not a good deal samsung.. hopefully they send an update to fix battery issues and keep all the phone has to offer .
Agreed. They talk about the best processor,120GHZ display, always on etc but then if want your phone to last you use turn them off. It definitely does reduce user experience. All my Samsung’s have had poo poo battery. I still want this phone but I’m holding off for a bit.
My Laptop runs at FULL POWER i7 QUAD CORE 16GB RAM 4GB GRAPHICS & is POWER ON at all times. When it comes to using my phone, I'd rather vouch for extended battery usage. Afterall, its meant to be a Mobile Device, right?
Also turn off 5G in mobile connection settings. I just keep mine in 4G LTE mode. And I see barely any difference in network speed. It only really matters if you're like downloading huge files or consuming heavy amounts of media.
I'm not really sure why you would do all this to this phone it kind of defeat the purpose of buying this phone. At this point you might as well go out and buy a cheap phone and have the same performance as this phone for whole lot cheaper.

This helped. I didn't do all of them, just a few and it definitely helped. I'm at work and by the end of the day, it's at 5%! I only use it during lunch hour and by that time I'm like "wtf?! 50%?!"
When I charge my phone it will notify me what time or how many hours it will take to fully charge it so what I did is I go to clock app and sched for an alarm. You can do the same. Just a suggestion.
Please do not change your screen resolution. It literally does nothing to improve battery life. Keep it as high as you can. Watch the phonebuff video. Enjoy the high refresh rate, but that will reduce your battery life by about 20% or more but lowering the resolution does not.

And now I may give a chance to my old Samsung favorites: S9+ for photography) better than ALL subsequent versions, you should re-test it, S10 "normal" for smaller form factor, and now a surprise: S7 Edge for... yes, format, weight and photography. Need Help with the SLEEP settings: I have certain apps that I know never give me or rarely give me notifications - These apps I want to put to deep sleep. The resolution doesn't really affect the battery life of the phone, so I suggest turning it on to maximum. Note that rendering a higher resolution is different from displaying a higher resolution. Watching a 1440p video is different from playing a game at 1440p resolution.

Hi, I am using Samsung Note9 from years, but from last couple of days my display gone flicker some & after some times it goes normal. Requesting you to provide any inputs. Thanks,
I had some battery issues on my S21 Ultra 512 snapdragon model, but I fixed them. Currently my percentage is at 74%, with an onscreen time of 2 hours, and last full charge was 23hr 18min, without a full charge or some charge. I have the phone on FHD, 60hz, 4GLTE. I have WiFi scanning off, Play protect scanning off in the google play store, location off (as well as wifi and Bluetooth scan for accuracy). I do have the adaptive battery on. That is the only option that I use, I do not use the power saving feature. I have force dark mode option on in developer settings. I have noticed because I have T-mobile as well that 5G even though it is better, will use more power from your device, especially if you don't have good signal, I was a communications guy in the military and it will run your battery down quicker than 4GLTE. If you wanna test the quality of your 5G and see how effective it is I just turned mine on right now, go to about phone, status info, and select Sim card status, my signal strength on 5G is -111 dBm which is pretty crappy signal, even though everything is running smooth. I switched to 4GLTE and checked my signal is -87 which is better and less battery drain than 5G. You will in reality want a level between high -70s and mid -80s, but the rule is the closer the number is to 0 the better your signal will be, but in reality I have seen my phone, not just this one but the lowest I ever seen was probably -70. The last thing I forgot to say is I go to my apps, and select the app, then select Mobile data, if you do not want that app running in the background select "Allow background data usage" off and "allow data usage while data saver is on" off. I've done this for the majority of my apps, only left my RUclips, amazon Music, messaging, and probably like 5 more apps turned on for this. Hope this helps lemme know if you have any questions. Almost forgot Sync is off. Also last thing the quality and building materials that the building you are in plays a huge role, if it has to use more battery because it is struggling to get a signal and is always scanning, then it will drain your battery more. I would turn on your wifi and wifi calling and disable your data, you will still receive text messages with this option off. Hope this helps!

Actually switching their resolutions doesn't impact battery life at all proven by phonebuff. Refresh rates however impact battery performance up to 20%
@KeepitMelo 41 exactly. It's a shame not that many people know about that. Well unless they watch the phonebuff video "Quad HD vs FHD" which I'm sure not everybody will. I feel bad for people thinking their phone will get better battery life and they switched it all the way down to the lowest HD setting or the middle one.... I have my phone and optimized mode with adaptive power saving mode on. I have the high refresh rate enabled when it's in optimized mode and then when it goes to medium power saving mode it switches to WQHD and standard refresh rate. I get over 10 hours of battery life easy. And I also have all animations turned off and reduce animations turned on. As well as changing the animations to .5 instead of 1.
It really doesn't matter with an oled display. When the screen is black on oled the pixels are off so they do not use any battery to show black. So if you have a black picture it will be like your screen is off bc it is. So brightness won't do anything
