Really miss how every sprite animation makes them look so alive yet never going too far and making the design of the characters/pokemon look awful. Would love if they took the time to make another pokemon game with sprites.

Because I think they just randomly pick starters for trailers just to show them, basically like artworks that show the starters with other characters.

With this explanation, Hilbert and Hilda is actually your own character in Black and White. You are the protagonist! Hilbert and Hilda are actually available in B2W2 they are actually in the game! The only way to meet them is via the Pokemon Center in Pokemon Wireless Club Union Room. You can actually talk to them, draw with them and even challenging them on a Pokemon Battle! This is the main reason! We cannot have two Hilbert/Hilda at the same time since you are the protagonist! Just like Red in Pokemon Emerald! He is available too! Adding something: Everything is written in the video. The answer is The memory link. During your adventure of B2/W2, N and plenty other important character Mention the protagonist from B/W as "Somebody" instead of the protagonist name of Black White. But if you put the memory link of your actual save file of Black and White, they all instead of saying somebody will say your own name that you gave to the main character in BW which mean your save file made the previous protagonist canon for giving the save file, thus, having a real name. By that logic, If you use the actual game (Pokemon Black and White) in which you use the exact same game for the memory link and do a battle with Black 2 and White 2 protagonist, this mean that the protagonist you challenge is the exact same as the one that N and plenty other have mentioned. He or She can be challenged directly on the Pokemon Center in Pokemon Wireless Club Union Room. It all depend if you use the real save or not. If you use the exact same save as the memory link it became canon, if not then it isn't the same protagonist that they have mentionned only if you pick a different save file. On my case, I used the real save.
They're not though Union room connections are links between parallel/alt universes as explained in ORAS, each pokemon save is a different parallel universe and in the case of B2W2 to BW links, time travel as well (like gen 1 to gen 2 links) Even if you say that you meet their past selves in the union room that's not the real BW protag, just an identical parallel version, as they were is BW The real Hilbert/Hilda in your B2W2 is in a different region still looking for N
20:50 This is the most badass Gen 5 battle I’ve ever scene hands down. Black and white Kyurem going toe to toe versus Zekrom and Reshiram in an all out fight to the death.
I loved the Memory Link. It was so cool, seeing the characters actually reference the BW1 protagonist by name. So many cool events to see, and then battling my old team from BW1 with my new one in BW2? So amazing!! Granted I was playing both DS's...haha.
To be fair we don't know if Emmet was sent to the past, although it would be cool to maybe see an ancient Johto/Kanto region and find one of them at the top of Mount Silver, give them an actual canon team and have it be the "Cynthia" battle of said legends game
I wish the legends would be more like linear where its the same character that gets thrown to different periods of different region like Quantum Leap meets Everything, Everywhere, All at Once.

I actually used this feature back when I got White 2! I didn't have friends to play with back then and I would setup teams to fight against and then battle them with a random selection from my box. All this time I was convinced I fought Hilda in the Pokemon World Tournament but this actually rejogged my memory!
I played both white a ND white 2 for a total of maybe 3k hours, checked every corner of the map, did all the dream radar and game link stuff and I was never able to find the original trainers to battle, seeing this year's later is like a fever dream
But what if you change the team later with the same save file is why they didn't He even says thats the reason for why it could never be your actual team Plus, if you wanted to be cheeky, you'd just give yourself a completely crappy team and make the entire battle a breeze on purpose

Honestly, Pokemon could've ended at Gen 5 and I would've been happy. There's just something magical about Gen 5. It feels like the Pokemon we all know and love, yet new. It forces you to use new Pokemon and look at the same world through new eyes. While we all love our Garchomps and Pikachus and Blastoises, there's something to be said about the bold decision to make us use the Gen 5 Pokemon exclusively. A decision that could've easily backfired but didn't and as a result gave us Pokemon we adore equally. Gen 5 is why I generally try to use the new Pokemon of each generation in my first playthrough of the game.
I wish I would've known about this when I was younger. I would've LOVED to battle my BW team, granted of how strong it was. I only had 1 DS, so I dont think I really could've done this if I knew about it back then. This is genuinely amazing

I remember my cousins playing BW2 with each other 10 years ago when we got together for events. I really, REALLY wish I was convinced by them to get this game, but I had no idea which game it was at the time. Now all the games are super expensive. Oof.

I've tried so many but nothing beats being able to play at the kitchen table at 3am, rolling over in bed with it in your hands, moving to the living room, and running back to the charger. The touch screen features working as intended and the little speakers on either side. It's just soulless on emulators
@@paradis0744 Fair enough. You can always look for a video game shop at a flea market. Only problem is they tend to be on the pricy side for the DS cartridges. I managed to get a cartridge with an SD in it once with over 200 games just for $50CAD once, and it works pretty well. Just watch out for price gauging.

No, as far as I saw the memory link, should you have completed enough things in your B/W save, it’ll copy your team in the memory link and if you go to the union room and the center of the room, your B/W character’s save data will be used to create an npc you can interact with that’ll be the trainer sprite of Hilda or Hilbert, at least that’s what it seems to be
Yup, you're right. I remember when I casually played with my cousin or my friends in some battles between B2W2 and BW. So this video is actually pretty builded up :/, since B-Kyurem shouldn't be usable in battles against a BW user.
@@AleHappyGamer You can fight use Black/White Kyurem against a Black/White save file, but they see base form Kyurem, instead. This is also the only legitimate way to see the Black/White Freeze Shock and Ice Burn animations(which, like many animations, are slightly different).
@@zephra1675 No, these are just wireless battles between copies of BW and BW2. The only battles unlocked by memory link are against Cheren and Bianca with the starters they had in the linked game.
On GBA emulator was possible though the switch of the "load save" for example red fire and emerald. Dunno if this works on ds emulators, surely not with the android one
According to Pokemon Generations, Hilbert has Zekrom whereas Hilda would have Emboar and Reshiram according to Pokemon Evolutions since she was in possession of the Light Stone

Everything is written in the video. The answer is The memory link. During your adventure of B2/W2, N and plenty other important character Mention the protagonist from B/W as "Somebody" instead of the protagonist name of Black White.
But if you put the memory link of your actual save file of Black and White, they all instead of saying somebody will say your own name that you gave to the main character in BW which mean your save file made the previous protagonist canon for giving the save file, thus, having a real name.
By that logic, If you use the actual game (Pokemon Black and White) in which you use the exact same game for the memory link and do a battle with Black 2 and White 2 protagonist, this mean that the protagonist you challenge is the exact same as the one that N and plenty other have mentioned. He or She can be challenged directly on the Pokemon Center
in Pokemon Wireless Club Union Room.
It all depend if you use the real save or not. If you use the exact same save as the memory link it became canon, if not then it isn't the same protagonist that they have mentionned only if you pick a different save file. On my case, I used the real save.

Union room connections are links between parallel/alt universes as explained in ORAS, each pokemon save is a different parallel universe and in the case of B2W2 to BW links, time travel as well (like gen 1 to gen 2 links)
Even if you say that you meet their past selves in the union room
that's not the real BW protag, just an identical parallel version, as they were is BW
The real Hilbert/Hilda in your B2W2 is in a different region still looking for N
20:50 This is the most badass Gen 5 battle I’ve ever scene hands down. Black and white Kyurem going toe to toe versus Zekrom and Reshiram in an all out fight to the death.
I loved the Memory Link. It was so cool, seeing the characters actually reference the BW1 protagonist by name. So many cool events to see, and then battling my old team from BW1 with my new one in BW2? So amazing!! Granted I was playing both DS's...haha.
Other theory, What if Hilda and Hilbert got scattered with Ingo and Emmet to other legends games
To be fair we don't know if Emmet was sent to the past, although it would be cool to maybe see an ancient Johto/Kanto region and find one of them at the top of Mount Silver, give them an actual canon team and have it be the "Cynthia" battle of said legends game
I wish the legends would be more like linear where its the same character that gets thrown to different periods of different region like Quantum Leap meets Everything, Everywhere, All at Once.

I actually used this feature back when I got White 2! I didn't have friends to play with back then and I would setup teams to fight against and then battle them with a random selection from my box. All this time I was convinced I fought Hilda in the Pokemon World Tournament but this actually rejogged my memory!
I played both white a ND white 2 for a total of maybe 3k hours, checked every corner of the map, did all the dream radar and game link stuff and I was never able to find the original trainers to battle, seeing this year's later is like a fever dream
I think they could implement them in the world tournament, carrying out your team from that save file at the moment of updating the via link
But what if you change the team later with the same save file is why they didn't
He even says thats the reason for why it could never be your actual team
Plus, if you wanted to be cheeky, you'd just give yourself a completely crappy team and make the entire battle a breeze on purpose

Honestly, Pokemon could've ended at Gen 5 and I would've been happy. There's just something magical about Gen 5. It feels like the Pokemon we all know and love, yet new. It forces you to use new Pokemon and look at the same world through new eyes. While we all love our Garchomps and Pikachus and Blastoises, there's something to be said about the bold decision to make us use the Gen 5 Pokemon exclusively. A decision that could've easily backfired but didn't and as a result gave us Pokemon we adore equally. Gen 5 is why I generally try to use the new Pokemon of each generation in my first playthrough of the game.
I wish I would've known about this when I was younger. I would've LOVED to battle my BW team, granted of how strong it was.
I only had 1 DS, so I dont think I really could've done this if I knew about it back then. This is genuinely amazing

I remember my cousins playing BW2 with each other 10 years ago when we got together for events. I really, REALLY wish I was convinced by them to get this game, but I had no idea which game it was at the time. Now all the games are super expensive. Oof.

I've tried so many but nothing beats being able to play at the kitchen table at 3am, rolling over in bed with it in your hands, moving to the living room, and running back to the charger. The touch screen features working as intended and the little speakers on either side. It's just soulless on emulators

You can always look for a video game shop at a flea market. Only problem is they tend to be on the pricy side for the DS cartridges. I managed to get a cartridge with an SD in it once with over 200 games just for $50CAD once, and it works pretty well. Just watch out for price gauging.
I thought this was real until the music was a remix of sun and moon champion theme. I think this might be a bit too convincing for a lot of people.

No, as far as I saw the memory link, should you have completed enough things in your B/W save, it’ll copy your team in the memory link and if you go to the union room and the center of the room, your B/W character’s save data will be used to create an npc you can interact with that’ll be the trainer sprite of Hilda or Hilbert, at least that’s what it seems to be
Yup, you're right. I remember when I casually played with my cousin or my friends in some battles between B2W2 and BW. So this video is actually pretty builded up :/, since B-Kyurem shouldn't be usable in battles against a BW user.
@@AleHappyGamer You can fight use Black/White Kyurem against a Black/White save file, but they see base form Kyurem, instead. This is also the only legitimate way to see the Black/White Freeze Shock and Ice Burn animations(which, like many animations, are slightly different).
@@zephra1675 No, these are just wireless battles between copies of BW and BW2. The only battles unlocked by memory link are against Cheren and Bianca with the starters they had in the linked game.

According to Pokemon Generations, Hilbert has Zekrom whereas Hilda would have Emboar and Reshiram according to Pokemon Evolutions since she was in possession of the Light Stone
thats just a spin off dont take it too literally. most people accept black/hilbert having reshiram as the canon choice because N is most represented with zekrom in almost all mediums

I feel like Reshiram fits more for both protagonists. N is a very idealistic person and you’re the one who forces him to see the truth.
