Could you show us how to do this with more complex models using calibration using 3d model and 2 projectors, I'm trying this just now and it's not so clear how to determine what parts should show on either projectors, very clear video and instruction so far, hopefully you can show us next level! thx projectors would project complementary parts rather than a symetric image like in your example
@@LumaBox actually I managed to do it at last, at some point I had 2 cursors even when I diactived one of projectors, somehow it works now, no sure if it because I used 2 different 3d files. thx for support
Hey Luma! your awesome tutorials really inspire me to try mapping a cake. Can you please tell how you match a separate full length audio to the final video in madmapper. Thanks.
Hi. I tend not to handle audio in MadMapper because it's more for straightforward mapping. As you might have seen from my other videos, I've used a workflow where I control my media (audio and video) in Qlab and then send it to MadMapper via syphon. Having said that, if your video has an audio track, you can enable it in MadMapper (check the Audio box in the panel in the bottom right)
Sorry for intruding into you busy schedule. Kindly teach me about:- *Detail/List of equipments for mapping? *How to connect projector laptop and media player to each other? *First step to capture image of building *Name of mapping software *How to Work on image of building in software *Completion of job and projection on building I have 3 projectors 5000, 3500, 2500 lumen projectors.... i7 laptop....AGPtEK Media player.... Kindly guide me how can I use for vdeo mapping on building. Thanking you
Hi, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge! I wonder if there is any free mapping software that can do multiple projectors (up to 3 to 5) Or can I map multiple projectors in after effects by merging them as one display?
Free mapping software for multiple projectors, hmm not sure. But yes it is possible in AE if you split your display with something like a TripleHead2Go and work in a comp with a width that’s Projector 1 + Projector 2 + Projector 3 (I think, although I’ve not tried)
@@LumaBox Awesome, thanks for the idea. I was thinking about splitting the video and use gradient map to manual blend them. I will try that. It may not come out perfectly but may work at some degree
Yeah that's something I could think about. Do your videos have transparency? Or are you talking about how to overlay visuals (even if they don't have an alpha channel)?
@@LumaBox no worries. It’s not something I need today, but I would like to incorporate breaking walls and falling objects over layers in the future for some more advanced offerings.
Thanks for such a wonderful tutorial. How do you find the time to map a cake that arrives 30 minutes before the event starts.. and where are the projectors positioned to be protected? I did a cake and wedding dress once. Never again. I'm sticking to DJ walls and outside pool parties. Thanks again
I would provide the cake myself so I’d know its dimensions and be able to plan and practice beforehand. 30 minutes isn’t very long to set-up even if you’re doing something basic. I put the projectors either side in free-standing plinths but some people mount them up high and out of the way.
@@yana_klmnsk I asked a baker to make them for me, both the dummy ones (i.e. polystyrene dummies covered in fondant icing) that I used repeatedly and real ones for clients to cut at their wedding
Is there a light and non-professional software to align the image if the projector is placed sideways with the hdmi cable? (for reasons of space I cannot project with the projector straight ...) I have a mini-projector the dragontouch mini z1 which with android 7.1 allows me to position the projector where I want and to have a large or small square or rectangle, (the problem is that when I connect the hdmi cable, the image resets itself, deforming ... obviously). A software for the hdmi connection or that makes the image I set the size of the device appear ??? (it has keystone correction but it only works if everything is centered, plus the keystonec does not allow me to shrink the image and change the shape)
@@LumaBox Unfortunately I think they are not good, because they are for images and videos, not for what I see on my monitor / console. The only one I have currently found is * isodora *, fantastic and free but complex. I need something that I turn on the pc / projector, adjust the image and see the movie / game .. (As on android I can do, the problem there is the distance from the modem, and the quality of the sound and video ...) thanks again you were very kind
@@olekm237 I think you need to compromise somewhere. Either get familiar with a complex free software, get a projector with in-built keystoning or find a way to mount your projector perpendicular to the wall.
Unfortunately the menu button seems to have no options (I hope there will be a new update) The routes would be 3. I turn on and connect the cable and adjust it through the menu. The second would be I turn on the projector except (in some way the dimensions) and switching to the connection with the hdmi cable the image does not auto-reset. And the third would be a software that allows me to position the shapes... Software that I could not use if I connect the console....

Luma Bakery thank you so much 😊
Again thank you.. awesome
My pleasure!
By chance do you have a video on how to create those cool 3D movements on architecture? Like opening/closing walls, etc
No sorry I don't at the moment but it's something I would consider doing in the future
Your cake was Just shown in a Mr. Best Video.
OMG that’s insane!! Thanks for the heads up. So awesome!! 🤩
Is this like a actual industry? Cake mapping? I never thought about it but yeah I guess at weddings or perhaps business events right?
Yep that's it

I don't offer the service but you can find a local supplier in this directory www.lumabox.com/cake-mapping-provider-directory/
