Simplemente maravilloso !

I have seen a few classical guitar players in concert, Ichiru Suzuki, Julian Bream, John Williams, Sergio + Odair Assad.
And then I saw Yamandu on youtube 😍 And I lost interest in the classical guitar🤣🤣🤣

Very virtuosic but slow down jeesh. We know you can play fast but it takes away from the pieces burning through them like that. Reminds me of Art Tatum on the piano, just chill a bit...we're still waiting down here on earth.

Such a common misunderstanding of his music and playing. The lack of empathy for the artist and the interpretation. He doesn't play just to play fast, to impress, for ex. Go beyond the technique and speed, although he plays many wonderful slow pieces, and see what makes Yamandu truly great that is so overlooked is his sensitivity to the song. He plays some of the songs fast because he's played them for many years, and it's just him having fun with it, almost challenging himself playfully, like a fun dare, if you will. There's a beauty to the sudden, maddening flurry. He's truly a genius. I think at this point, it's all about the different ways he can approach his songs. I'm always astonished how he's able to capture the ineffable with his music. I'm very grateful for his artistry.

Yes, he plays fast some songs, yet it is so clean that seems impossible. As pointed out, he also plays slow songs. To make it short, he plays each song in a perfect way
