It depends on how long it takes for the molly to hit. Generally I will shoot it straight away so then when they try to defuse they cannot get half on the spike. If I wait too long they'll be able to halve it.

Idk what rank u are but what tf is this at 1:30....... I am stuck bronze with worse timing ever and I know I am bad but wtf is that. I get one tapped EVERY time but when my teammates are fighting they can take like 5 seconds to kill someone without getting one tapped. And every game I play I play with people that peaked gold 3 and plat... Just why. But when I get reall bronze players than I win games easily. Matchmaking is just terrible.
Your movement and timing and peeking and angle advantage
I am Ascendant rank. It takes awhile to get used to the movement, timing and peeking and angle advantage. Basically you want to try and do some slow peeks - that will help you can angle advantage. If you watch higher ranked players you'll see how they move - I just basically tried to emulate it. At the end of the day though I find that in Valorant you need to take a risk sometimes because almost every play can be considered a risk since the maps are so big. I never train aim - I just play competitive but game sense is definitely needed in order to rank up unless with your aim you're staring at the ground a lot. Comming is super important as well. Even in ascendant with no comms is very difficult to win.
