I always thought that John wasn't totally comfortable with the fame. He wanted it but it cost him. He also didn't have that stable an upbringing. He wasn't perfect, but man I sure do miss him.
It reflects his musical & lyrical talent : spontaneous, ironic, observant, quirky -a relentless imagination. The good,the bad,the ugly.A life that came & went quickly,he liberated a generation.Never,ever will be another like him!

Arguably, Billy Joel, Sir EltonJohn,Jeff Lynne have rivalled Sir James Paul musically.But personality, leadership, intuition, influence, irreverence,the capacity to change, and,oh yes, (yeah!) his music - all of the aforementioned would defer to this incomparable young man Very imperfect, even repulsive at times,complex & contradictory -but that's the profile of an extraordinary individual.My parents, moreso my mother, couldn't stand him.But they were OK with the other 3, especially Ringo. Exactly!
