• Only the healthkits that are found in crates still exist (I wish I could change that as well)
• This is not a perfect run nor a speedrun
• Bullsquids are awesome creatures.

Bullsquids were the scariest thing to me as a kid, so this is just... Awful...

Sorry for the small hud, I was playing in 4k res. I'll remember that for next time! Also the audio quality gets much better in the second half of the video. I had a setting ticked that would badly affect my recordings.

@@VaneBrain Hmm, Maybe I will do that. I will need a bigger HDD and video editing tool probably because mine doesn't want to use my gpu for acceleration so I don't think it will like 4K.

1) Why is this only popping up on my front page now? RUclips is fine with showing me a bunch of videos I’ve already watched, but can’t show me gold like this until months late.
2) If you are at least semi-knowledgeable in modding, or know someone else who is, you can just make it so health kits spawn Bullsquids alongside them on spawn. That way, health kits from crates and the like also become Bullsquids. I would do it myself and send the mod to you, but I don’t have HL1 on my pc, only HL2.

Concerning your 2nd note, yea it might be possible, but for something as silly as this I couldn't really bother. I just happened to find this tool that lets you swap entities in map files and this came to mind for some reason haha.
Might do something like it again one time. I was working on a video for Opposing Force where I randomized every NPC but it would be too glitchy too often

Favorite Half-Life monster? I do like the bullsquids as enemies, but from a character perspective, you can't go wrong with the vorts.

@@ihavecripplingdepression2572 I've always loved to edit the code and add an extra challenge. It's also a little experiment to see how well "replacing" entities work and it worked great! And don't take it too serious :p

I didn't. The secret is to use a tool called BSPedit to see and change the entities in a map.
