Happy Halloween, everyone! Thank you so much for watching. Also, a massive shoutout to my amazing sister for helping me colour my costume sketches. These are so pretty and detailed. You're a lifesaver!
Zombies in the Dawn of the Dead film had a distinctive blue-green hue to them possibly to show the long term effects of body pigment changing from decomposing with green being one of them and is the easiest colour to show. So nowadays Zombies and Frankenstein's monster (a zombie of sorts) are depicted as green skinned
Some time ago I read up on Halloween itself - its origins, old traditions and similar pagan believes and traditions. While nowadays the Catholic Church in some places calls Halloween a pagan tradition, the origins are 100% Catholic. Its crazy how everything changed just because of the costumes representing the dead and supernatural. Apart from that I find it fascinating how this day has similar meaning in so many cultures. Most likely it originates from Scotland and Wales, where the first day of winter they celebrated the dead to help them find a way to the afterlife. Samhain and Calan Gaeaf for Scotland and Wales respectively. Just like any other Catholic celebration - they just took the date of the existing traditions and rebranded them. Really makes you think what a tradition really is.
This is interesting. Here in Latin America (or at least in my country, Halloween is called witches day) we don't celebrate this date because of its “pagan” origins, and they don't even tell us what origins these are. So when I see American Christians celebrating Halloween I get confused whether it's wrong or not.
Thanks for the video. When I was a kid I dressed up in a couple of these costumes - werewolf, ghost & zombie but my favorite was always a vampire.🍷🖤💀⚰️👻🦇🕷️🕸️
Thanks for watching! Speaking of vampire, I just came across a red coffin earring (it came with a skull earring) and now I'm so excited to try some vampire-inspired day-to-day outfit with that. Btw, thanks for sharing! Hope you have an amazing Halloween month!
@@kjrasa That's nice 💀 skulls are one of my favorites. Question have you watched their channels or heard of Aveline De Moray & Simply Spooky because they both have stores you might like.
Love! LOVE! I SUPER LOVE your channel ♥ Another costume that is often used a lot is that of the Mummy, Cleopatra, the Phantom of the Opera and the Monsters of the 90's like Jason, Michael Myers, Freddy Kruegger, Chucky, his girlfriend... I don't remember any others . I didn't know that the Wolf Man has the characteristic of wearing a red and black checkered shirt, I have a very similar one, not the fabric, but the pattern. If I ever dress up as a werewolf, I'm definitely going to wear that shirt.
Can't say I know them in detail but I came across them during my research on the black rose video a few months ago. (I did read their wiki page but I can't say I remember everything as well) And thanks for watching as well! Glad you like it.
Currently fifteen minutes in and I start to wonder if token Indian is going to make the list. . . . Happy Day Columbus Day Eve, or Indigenous Peoples Day Eve um not sure what you celebrate, or if you do. . .

Thank you! Your comment made my day. Speaking of the Phantom, it kinda make me want to dress up as him (or maybe draw him) somehow.
@@kjrasa PLEASE DO IT ♥_♥
Do you know of the Black Rose Society in the lore of League of Legends?
