- The preface to C Programming by Brian W. Kernighan and Dennis M. Ritchie places the C programming language in the context of the other popular programming languages of the 1960's and 1970's FORTRAN, COBOL, Pascal, Algol, and PL/I . Many concepts like separation of concerns and the use of provided run-time libraries versus language syntax are introduced and described.

Thanks sir, for this series, I am a social science student, but after watching your Python for everybody, I am on the journey of self taught software developer. After learning python from you, I began to love programming. I don't think I am that fortunate enough to come to Michigan to attend your lectures. But learning from you online, gives me immense satisfaction. And sir, also your way of teaching is also really awesome. The way you make us understand the concepts by talking about every bits and pieces is awesome. Thanks sir 💕💕💕
Sir, please upload more videos on C programming. I am pretty sure people are eagerly waiting for the next video in this series. Your Python programming series was incredible. Thanks from India.
Made my day ❣️
Hey Sir much Thanks for starting this course, hope to get next video very soon...

There are many very obvious clues on the entry page - follow some of the links.

Sir Chuck Severance
The basis for many bugs in programs.. C.
Newer languages are much better in their preprocessing and catching bugs before they run amok in production.
We have a lot to thank for from C. But its showing its age.
Oh yeah, I see. There are a lot of operational systems written in Java! Embedded systems? Tons of applications written is Go! Windows 11 is such a super Bug-Free OS! 50 years of C and still counting!
And yet, no system language come even close to what C is capable. The world literally run on C.
And no, a clusterfuck like Rust will not replace C. It's more targeted toward C++.
Zig is not even a thing yet.

I am working on it - for now I am deep in some new software development and when that settles down I will be back on this course.
