    What she shared is totally real. I experienced something similar at boarding school and I was always ashamed to tell people what happened. Weirdly enough, I always felt drawn to Paris. And watching her documentary truly explained it all, for me.

      Daphne Nvt I know what you mean, some of my friends that I’m drawn to for “no reason”, I always find out later in life that they suffered similar abuse at home, even though we never talked about it as kids. You just recognise it in another. Hope you’re doing good now!

    🌈🌈🌈🌈Abuse is going on right now at these “schools” we need to shut them down. We need help to do that. The experiences Paris has at these places is not an abnormality it was the truth. We all have the same experiences. We all have cptsd from our experiences. We all struggle to keep from being in abusive relationships. All kids need to be saved from these places which started out as a cult. She is not alone. I’m glad she is talking about it. I’m glad that finally we can tell our stories. They are so unbelievable no one wanted to believe when we got out. I went to Elan School in Poland Springs Maine. It was run by a mobster who had no training on working with kids and shouldn’t have been allowed to open a school like that. He paid off the Maine department of children and families he paid off anyone who raised an eyebrow. The current governor of Maine and one of the Senators of Maine was complicit in the corruption. The state looked the other way because that 1 school provided the state with 1.5 million in taxes every year since the 70s. The state had to call Joe Ricci to do an inspection and also warned him through the newspaper about a week before it happened. Just enough time to cover everything up that was going on there. We were abused. All of us!! Help us to get these terrible places shut down so no other child has to suffer these abuses!!

      The school she went to in Provo was run by charter hospitals. This was very common in the 90s it happened to a lot of my friends. Their wealthy parents were told that they were going to the top notch therapy to help them that this was necessary. Most of my friends had as did Paris drug issues. If you give them a chance to run they will. So this was common process. Obviously now looking back we know better. The issue is that as of today the same school that just changes hands once the lawsuits roll in. Has 8-year-olds!! That should make everyone take note. What are they doing to 8-year-olds? If they treated teenagers like this? The bigger issue is what does mental health care look like for minors? Because in the US it's God awful!! The state run psychiatric units aren't much better.

      @@pjt3887 8 year olds? They're still children, and children most often don't know how to speak up. They wouldn't know if they're being emotionally abused or not. And I understand that the parents may not know what's really happening at these provo's but it seems many of them don't want to know.

    • @sara_s_
      @sara_s_ 3 года назад +4

      @Anthony Timmers I agree, she's trying to subtly divert attention away from her parents while trying to raise awareness. She's trying to protect those who failed her but she can never truelly heal unless she faces her parents and tells them they hurt her.

    • @nzmermaid
      @nzmermaid 3 года назад

      But if Paris was so out of control... Perhaps they saved her life.... The parents did the best they could and followed the advice of people that were there to help. They didn't ask for her to be miss treated.. they asked for help to save their out of control daughter. You can't blame the parents for doing what they believed was the best thing for her... If they did nothing and Paris had died then they would have been blamed for that.

    Not easy.
