    Avast in C Minor is... actually really beautiful. I honestly love the original composition, and hearing different people's versions of it is quite fun. Your version could easily work for a dramatic scene, despite the piece's meme status :D

    Testpony has been my ringtone for nearly a decade now, apart from a period where my girlfriend at the time didn’t like how it laughed at her. It just has a very upbeat and highly noticeable against most backgrounds.

    Thank you very much for not deleting your old music. I've just discovered it today, and I'm enjoyin it a lot. It's not that bad that you have stopped making pony music; your non-pony music is still very good. Even if I have to wait 5 years until your next track, you've gained a subscriber.

    Thank you so much for what all you DID contribute to the world of pony music. No Strings Attached and Locomotive Rush still float around on my mp3 player(s), as does Dregs of a Bitter Cup. I look forward to seeing what else you come up with in the future!!

    "Avast in C Minor, String Quintet and Piano" was the very first so-called "brony music" (in lack of a better term) that I've ever heard. Loved it instantly, and had the mp3 for years. Such a beautiful rendition, I love it still the same!

    I'm glad they're not simply going away. I recommend keeping diamond dog mines up somewhere at all times; I still refer people to it. It's fantastic thinking music for myself and fellow coders. In fact, No Strings Attached is perfect for that too (I'm listening to it now). ^_^ I also like Testpony and Dodge -- my productivity at work goes up when those come up in the playlist. I hadn't heard PK Trailer Theme but I like it.
    Time to do more sharing with friends. :D

    It's such a shame Avast is being treated so badly because of its origin.
    On its own it's a beautiful composition and I wish it was judged more based on how it sounds not what it "represents".

    Ever since they were first released, I've had them on my phone and they've always kinda been my favorite songs to listen to; nostalgic, almost. Again, I just can't express how much of an inspiration you've been. Thanks for being a role model, Makkon!

    As someone trying to create a more professional-friendly portfolio, I can relate to the changes being made here. As much as I am for someone who likes distinct inspiration/remixes, I do look forward to your new, original pieces. I'm an old Makkon fan, and ever since 'Deae Luna' came out I considered you a talented member of the musical and visual arts (cough-I do hate you for that-cough), not someone limited to a fandom or someone who relies on remixing other work. I've been here for the great music, and you've reassured me that's not going to change.

    I would just like to thank you for not simply removing all the songs like I heard some people did. I personally enjoy all your music whether it's pony-related or not. The Little Toy Shop is a favorite of mine, really strikes the creepy vibe, I love it.
    P.S. What genre would you say is The Little Toy Shop? I've been trying to find more like it but so far I failed miserably.

    • @makkon06
      @makkon06  9 лет назад

      Thanks so much! I have no idea what you'd call The Little Toyshop, especially if you want to find more like it.Plenty of video game or movie soundtracks may go a similar direction (such as Alice Madness Returns and Coraline) but there's hardly a name for the genre, if the genre actually exists. It's possible for now it's its own thing.

    Honestly, as a person who hasn't watched ponies at all, I really can't see/hear why these relate in any way to MLP, it just sounds like awesome music. Diamond dog mine is probably my favourite of this bunch. Hope you won't nuke these completely later. ;o

    You know I've always been a long-time, supportive fan! Personally, good work is good work-pony or not. Some of these are really worthwhile showing to others, honestly!
    That said, I *still* get excited whenever you upload something new, pony or not. I was just listening to TSFH recently. I think it was one of the vocal tracks from "Archangel", and I was _just_ thinking about how I missed anything new from you at all.
    You share a spot with Evening Star and Everfree Brony where you could make songs about anything at all and I'd still love them to bits.
    I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. :)

    I just stumbled across your song, "Dregs from a bitter cup" in one of kanasiipanda's videos (called 'Guardian'), and liked it so much that I had to investigate. What I discovered is amazing. Your music is very bold and contains a lot of depth, and I love it. In listening to this video, I noticed that you included "No Strings Attached"; I have seen this song attributed to JeffTheStrider. The two versions are different. So, out of curiosity, who was the original composer? At the time of writing, I've only heard the first song and half of the second, but I will be listening to the rest, and foresee myself downloading the album. (On top of making epic music, you make it available for download. You're awesome, just sayin'. :D )

    This is my first time hearing about you and all of these pony music. To be honest, pony or not, it's good to hear music just for music not by what it represents. I don't think I might download all of these because I have limited space on my comp xD But as said before I like music regardless of its origins. Continue strong fellow friend and may God smile upon you...
    I sound like a troll don't I after saying that God thing? xD In all seriousness, as a devout Christian, I wish you the best of luck in your life. Also, I've read about the recommend video thingyaboop. Try deleting the history on RUclips if that's possible. That might clear it. I know I said before but I'll say it again. Best of luck fellow musician.

      deep strasz I wanted to make my channel more welcoming to a broader audience by getting rid of any song that had ponies in it. Professionally, I've benefited from this a lot. However, I lost 300 subscribers the day I did it, but gained about 400 back of a totally different demographic that I KNOW is interested in my music and isn't here just "because ponies."

    • @deepstrasz

    • @makkon06
      @makkon06  9 лет назад

      MouthToAss Resuscitation You misunderstand. When I made this change I lost 300 subscribers the day of, and about 200 more that week. Why? I don't know, but it's possible they were only interested in the pony, and the moment they saw me make a change they lost interest.
      The new subscribers that have commented have been kind, supportive, and genuinely interested in my music. I don't even think they were aware of any change, what I used to do, or anything of that nature. How would they? I doubt they were holding out on subscribing until I scrubbed pony from my channel, what made them come in was increased activity because I uploaded 4-5 new videos.
