DIY - How to make Nitram Style Charcoal at home

In view of the complete lockdown in India for 21 days i am unable to get charcoal even Amazon has closed down shops.
I tried to experiment with some scrap wood to make some charcoal at home.
All you need is wood some aluminium foil and a utensil to heat the wood.
It took me about 30 to 40 minutes to get charcoal

Can you explain what type of wood you used and how long you put it on stove
Also the temperature (low , medium or high )

how is this compared to nitram? Also are you able to get different hardnesses like H, HB, B? Thanks
