You are my inspiration as you are the one who made my concepts crystal clear in medical education. I started my own channel and you will remain my guru till my last breath. Thanks Dr Nabeel.

Dr. Nabil Ebraheim, what you have presented in animated video describing disc herniation of the lumbo sacral spine, the etiology, signs and symptoms, diagnopsis, and treatment options is more helpful to me just by watching and listening, I have been suffering from this sick for almost 12 years, in 2018 September, the pain became more worse then ever before and now I am walking like unbalance person, one siede up and down. The pain starts from the lower back down to the buttock and lower limb. Nurses and Doctors often gives me the wrong medication and I don't get better. After watching your short educational video, I will go see a Doctor and explain him or her of my condition. Thank you so much for sharing knowledge and experience with us the public.

    Thanks alot Dr Ebrahem again.

Dr. Ebraheim thank you for explaining true sciatica pain. You explained it better than my family doctor and my pain doctor. I have tried everything to to decrease the pain and only have found help through narcotics and I'm tired if taking them every 4 hours. I am now waiting to see a surgeon as this has been going in for almost 5 years now and getting worse. But one thing I would like to know is why it is so bad at night and many nights I can't sleep and spend the night pacing all night as nothing will get rid of the pain. You would think that it would be better when resting. I have 3 herniated discs with severe impingement of the sciatic nerve from a slip and fall.

Finally Someone has broken down the fact and overstanding of this condition and treatment/treating of this condition.
Eyes been dealing with this for some numerous of yrs.
Eyes had right side hip replacement being told/diagnosed being Arthritis after replacement relapsed and when MRI Scan and having a copy of result being what being explained in this vid,re ;disc and L5 etc and the experiencing of pain down one side and burning sensation in the lower back which one always to the GP (Doctor) only to be prescribed pain killers and sick notes and external cream to rub when pain affects me.
I've changed GP reasoning that one been neglected for what really is the underlying condition one experiencing.
Coming this RUclips blog is Divine Timing to what one very much acknowledges within one journey on this Plain/Realm.
Basic Knowledge is the way forward especially from within.
Dr Nabil Ebraheim explained and pinpointed the true condition and underlying issues.
    Peace!

This contained very helpful and informative details related to sciatica. Yet it omits the mechanism by which the episode resolves itself. If the tests and MRI, for example, lead to the diagnosis of a herniated disk as the likely cause/source of the pain, what explains the resolution of the pain in most cases? Could a certain physical activity or movement initiate compression, cause a tear in the disk, but with rest and proper care, the spine moves back into proper alignment and the body heals the herniation, thus relieving the irritation of the sciatic nerve root?

Great descriptive video and commentary this explains a very painful problem in simple straight forward terminology for all who have this and trying to understand what’s happening. I just turned 62 very active haven’t injured my back, out of nowhere both butt cheeks and midway down the back of my thighs the pain and STIFFNESS just appeared. It seems to move around and sitting relaxes mine. Bending over has become a serious challenge I take “Doans” pills for inflammation which knocks the edge off.

My advice is simple don't wait too long it may damage nurves test costs but can be treatable with physiotherapy and exercises but knowing problem is important...

After researching sciatica, I went to a chiropractor first and asked them to check my S-spine (in the bottom crevice/crack). He brought in a second chiropractor and while I'm was rather weird having 2 chiropractor's fingers feeling in that area (though far less invasive than a pap smear!), they found the problem area - and from start to finish (exam and the actual adjustment) it took less than 20 minutes to eliminate the pain. Completely, and all in one visit. That was 4 and a half years ago.
I'm not a doctor, & don't work for one. I don't work for any association. I don't work for the government. I'm just a regular person that, like most people I suppose, is nervous about surgery and would like to try everything else before getting cut open.

Can an adhrent nerve root cause sciatica? Iv had sciatica for 3.5 years now. Have been told the Mri was showing small disc bulge but now mri shows no nerve impingement. Been told scar tissue grew over the nerve which has caused a shprtening of the nerve which now tugs when I stretch leg. I've had enough of this pain.

I have had a lot of lumbar back pain for at least 3 years. MRI showed severe spinal central stenosis and foremen stenosis, facet arthrapothy bulges/protrusion/herniation but not lower L5/S1. Its all higher near L2/L3 and L3/L4 and causing severe sciatica pain down my left buttocks and thigh but never goes any lower than that. I had rhizotomy ablation of L1-4 on both sides and felt pretty good after. HOWEVER after these ablations, maybe within a week or 2 I started with the left sciatica pain and burning etc...Arching my back hurts bad. Bending over feels great. Sitting feels great but standing and walking hurts a lot. Can you not experience radicular pain from L1-L3/4?
