I remember watching the game live Danya was pointing out the possible Checkmate options Gukesh had I was so happy at that point the only game I saw Gukesh have difficulty in was the Alireza game he lost in which he was better but than lapsed defensively Gukesh has shown to be clutch in his endgames coming up with the best moves finalizing wins for himself Thanks for the Game Enjoy your day James

Vidit played like Oberyn Martell of GOT in the candidates and was punished accordingly.

What a great game and ending by Gukesh. As mentioned C5 by Vidit is the blunder and after that we witnessed a master class ending. Signs of a world champion 🤴

I come for the great chess commentary but stay for the imaginative comparisons about the tenderness of chess pieces. Do you have a writing team dedicated to those or something?

Fantastic game! Is it just me or do his games feel a bit different than those masterpieces by Fischer, Karpov or Kasparov? I wonder whether we see from the AI-trained generation a huge talent emerging, them seeing things differently than the old guys.

There are similarities between Gukesh and Magnus. i was most impressed by him taking back on e6 with the rook, many would havetaken with the pawn, he saw a plan and carried it out. Thanks James.
