Vidit played candidate so that hikaru could be stopped 😈
New player unlocked: Gukesh A!!!
"The Queen in Siberia"... 👍
He beat Vidit pretty dam bad in this game.. The positional understanding n end game was insane
Respect the world champ ofc but it frankly looks like Gukesh is gonna blow him out of the water
"tender as a lamp shank in the depth of spring"
I came here for funny memes and chess but left with improved english skills wtf
I remember watching the game live Danya was pointing out the possible Checkmate options Gukesh had I was so happy at that point the only game I saw Gukesh have difficulty in was the Alireza game he lost in which he was better but than lapsed defensively Gukesh has shown to be clutch in his endgames coming up with the best moves finalizing wins for himself Thanks for the Game Enjoy your day James
Hi bro , hope to see you today at Erigaisi vs. Peter svidler , finals. .... 😅
@@speed999-uj5kr ok some times hectic days like today I might miss it but I’m sure someone will cover it if not Epic or Agadmator Enjoy your day Enjoy your Chess thanks
Vidit played like Oberyn Martell of GOT in the candidates and was punished accordingly.
The Candidates is over, we have watched all the matches already.
So dont watch, he is making interesting content and educating non chess players.
Be a purist somewhere else ...
Chess is projected to come home to "The Land of Chaturanga"!
Search Sanskrit knight tour and you will know this hidden knowledge . Sad how Bharat was robbed by bastards
You're welcome @@qeiejxdld6302
@@qeiejxdld6302 great. Searching for books on origins of chaturanga ( chess) in India in 6th century during Gupta empire.
@@qeiejxdld6302thanks for the valuable information.
Gukesh has the biggest pair of rooks I've ever seen. Thanks Benny Hill
He's got Two Jumbos.
Excellent recap, as always.
Respect for the jokes, you got me good! What an amazing game.
Great video. Keep up the good work! There's nothing I love more than an epic games of chess. 😮 🎉🎉
Love your videos 😍
thanks man appreciate it
Fine commentary for the great game
What a great game and ending by Gukesh. As mentioned C5 by Vidit is the blunder and after that we witnessed a master class ending. Signs of a world champion 🤴
I'm a low rated player and I would also have played Kf8, seems just the natural move to me. Feels good 🗿
Clinical.
I picked up somewhere that Gukesh said his loss to Alireza was his own turning point.
Vidit played the candidates on the edge
Simple mate - last 5 moves are straightforward
I come for the great chess commentary but stay for the imaginative comparisons about the tenderness of chess pieces. Do you have a writing team dedicated to those or something?
thanks a lot! na I just make it up but then rehearse and then film haha
beautiful chess
Gukesh guked his esh
Fantastic game! Is it just me or do his games feel a bit different than those masterpieces by Fischer, Karpov or Kasparov? I wonder whether we see from the AI-trained generation a huge talent emerging, them seeing things differently than the old guys.
There are similarities between Gukesh and Magnus. i was most impressed by him taking back on e6 with the rook, many would havetaken with the pawn, he saw a plan and carried it out. Thanks James.
The way Gukesh plays is truly a sight to behold.
Nakamura will be proud of you 😂😂😂
Thats SUCH a Gukesh move! 😉
Indian team work. Vidit stopping Nakamura and losing to Gukesh. finally 1 indian qualified. Mission accomplished, But Gukesh seriously talented
It's great seeing your channel grow, james. Hopefully you'll be able to join the soggy crew of "youtube professionals" 🤣
achievement unlocked: *GUKESH A*
'soggy crew' hahaha, yeah who knows I don't put too much pressure on tbf, I also enjoy my day job so this is a nice side passion/and helpful side money too ofc, I've always been curious what you've written when I see your name. Would love to have a read of something. Maybe email me something? If you fancy too anyway, I love reading. I did an English and Creative Writing degree
