Hello, Erik 👋 Just wanted to say that I’m a huge fan of your videos. Your drone and scenic shots are always so beautiful. Can’t wait to see the rest of your Mt. Kili videos ♥️
Why are the mandatory porters MVP's? These porters are part of a government monopoly and are very well-paid relatively speaking. A real mountain expedition is naturally climbed unaided. It's unfortunate that the governments has made it mandatory to use porters and guides because they are not needed for a physically fit person and subtract from the real experience of climbing a mountain. Most other mountains in the world, more difficult to climb, is done unaided if one so wishes. At the minimum, climbing unaided should be an option, especially on such an easy mountain to climb.

Epic bro, great video and what an adventure. So will you head for the Himalayas next? You've got to go to Nepal....come to think of it, I might need a trekking partner to Everest Base Camp sometime if you're up for it.
Awesome. I'd love to see Bhutan, the main reason I haven't gone yet is because of the tourist surcharge, it costs $250 per day and I think you have to go on a guided tour which isn't my preference. But it would definitely be a unique place to visit and I'm sure worth the extra expense. Another place to check out nearby is Sikkim which is part of India but supposed to be similar to Bhutan, and a lot cheaper, India prices. I don't have any specific plans to go back to Nepal at the moment. I've done four other treks there but I've never done the Everest base camp, so I would definitely plan to do that trek the next time. If/when it happens I'll definitely get in touch and see what you're up to! I've done all my previous treks in Nepal without guides or porters so I would probably do the same for Everest. It's much different from the Kilimanjaro trek because there are lodges along the way, so you don't need to carry your food or a tent, etc.
Been there 11 times since 1984. Climbed Kili in 2008, easy, but basic Nepalese treks are all easy also as long as you acclimate reasonably well. Also no tents needed, eat and sleep in lodges. Can be done solo also, no need for guides and porters if you are willing to carry your own pack. Certainly there are also more difficult and high routes also, but only a few % of trekkers bother with those.
I am watching your video from India, I liked your video very much, please keep making such videos. Thanks for giving us so much amazing information And to deliver the Amazing Experience.
