Die Drahtseilbahn Augustusburg ist eine Standseilbahn und verbindet
seit über 100 Jahren den Ortsteil Erdmannsdorf und den Bahnhof Erdmannsdorf-Augustusburg
mit der Stadt Augustusburg und dem Schloss Augustusburg.
Die Fahrt mit der Drahtseilbahn ist ein besonderes Erlebnis.
In acht Minuten Fahrt geht es gleichzeitig an einem Seil gezogen bergauf und bergab.
Die maximale Neigung beträgt circa 20%, die Spurweite 1000mm, die Streckenlänge circa 1240 Meter
Eröffnet wurde die Drahtseilbahn Augustusburg am 24. Juni 1911.

The Augustusburg cable car is a funicular and has been connecting the Erdmannsdorf
district and the Erdmannsdorf-Augustusburg train station with the city of Augustusburg
and Augustusburg Castle for over 100 years.
The ride on the cable car is a special experience. In eight minutes you go uphill and
downhill on a rope at the same time. The maximum incline is about 20%, the track width 1000mm,
the track length about 1240 meters
The Augustusburg cable car opened on June 24, 1911.
