According to Catholicism, the orthodox churches are legitimate since they have apostolic succession and their sacraments are legit (and so they possess the body of christ as well). Therefore the true meaning of the phrase is that there is no salvation outside of the original church established by christ, which is the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church (known separately these days as Roman catholic, eastern orthodox, and oriental orthodox). As for proof in the bible, there is none needed as the bible is a book that was released to the public by the pope almost 400 years after the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church was established. Besides, the church has ALWAYS had the first say above scripture as seen by councils (example: ACTS 15).

The term Roman was applied by Henry VIII when he split the English Church under his control. Outside of English speaking countries you don't see the word Roman Catholic. My husband and I have been praying alot for the Catholic Church and Orthodox Church to become united again. The Eastern Catholic Churches that came back into the unity of the Catholic Church has the same beautiful reverent Divine Liturgies as the Orthodox Church. Vatican II never touched the Eastern Catholic Liturgies.

This is the antichrist church. Jesus Christ is the only one. Yes, Mary gave birth to our Lord and Savior. I'm thankful to her, but she or nothing else is to be worshiped. We worship Jesus, not Mary. We pray to Jesus, not Mary.
You shall not make any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven and earth, beneath the waters under the earth. This church worships Mary instead of God. God said I am the Lord thy God, and their Shall be no other gods before me. Exodus 20:1-17. Jesus Christ is the son of God. Jesus Christ died for our sins, not Mary.
