The first official Dead Eye Match is in the bag, being embedded in CQB Brutality 2024 run at the SUPS range in St. George, UT. This is the second of what will be many "versus" Dead Eye videos in which we discuss and analyze Dead Eye as a match concept, but also our own performance and firearms as well.
Russel was a beast on this stage. Very impressive.
MORBIDLY A BEAST!
Quick, drop everything, they’re doing the cowboy thing again
As a fellow 1887 runner, I enjoyed watching it run with the mag full. This deadeye material has me really looking firward to my first SASS match of the year though!
Come shoot Dead Eye and you can run it with the magazine, which is a novel concept. :p
Rustla Faygon got the drip going on! Check out that style. Nice shooting, too.
That 1887 shotgun looks like such a Rube Goldberg to manipulate once the tube is empty. Karl, I'm really surprised that you went Shotgun > Lever Gat on this stage; the capacity is hard to beat for the first bay, and I have faith you'd have nailed the HVT!
I was having a very weird off day and you'll see that as more of these come out 😅🤣
Looks fun I got bored with 10 10 4 of cowboy action over 9 yrs I did it. I'd be interested in this unfortunately I live in Alabama now where everything is trap and skeet.
Love these side by side stage videos! Keep 'em coming!
At 5:11 and again at 5:17, that is the most jocularity I believe I've ever seen Russell Phagan afford the camera! On any video! Ever! In my lifetime!
Well done Russell for cutting loose. 👌
4:21 meme moment of karl
Karl might have lost some time on the first stage, but he wanted the HVT dead, and that he did. Stage Won!
Been watching westerns it seems. Framing of the shot for the last convo is quite nice. Randolph Scott would be proud.
I know the 1887 may not have helped speed things along for Karl, but it was so cool seeing it get that much action, my eyes were glued. As an 1887 lover seeing it run in these cowboy type stages is a real treat for me!
There is a way to single feed the 1873 if you have the lever at the right angle before the elevator pops up, not as consistent as a Winchester 94 but doable. Love the videos, wish I could try this.
yes, I know. It is unreliable on the clock.
@@InrangeTv My gate reloads are so clumsy, I might try. The .357 Uberti 1873 gate is damn stiff.
wow Russel has a very dum dum Duggan look on right now all he would need to perfect the look is a waistcoat
Handsome unless provoked.
Would it have been worth it to start with the revolver to save reloads on the 1887?
The option to pick any of your weapons to use for any situation is really turning out to be a lot of fun. It changes dynamics a lot just by shuffling around your weapon options. That target spoking you so you brought the boom stick of doom to ensure its demise was awesome.
Where do y'all get the headwear for this video love the stalker style cowboy hat.
I ordered the bowler from “hats in the belfry”
@@SinistralRifleman thank you so much
You guys need a mechanical bull. Handgun rate larger targets than rifle and shotgun rates smallest target. Or is it the speed of the bull?
In respect to safety, you can only mount or dismount with empty weapon.
We dead eyeing with this one. Simple but fun stage and good shooting.
5:07
Did they upgrade the robot with an emption module?
I’m anxiously curious to see how well this catches on.
Wow nice job Russel :O GOOOOO!!!!
3:09 I love those names changed!
Soo cool.
And i love that one hand shot with shongun.
Karl in assless chaps? Happy saturday boys! 😂
No thanks
Side by side was cool.
This looked awesome!
I would've had difficulties doing this stage with modern weapons, i'm not even going to think on how I would do with Western era firearms. Kudos for this idea. It is verey entertaining to watch.
John Henry’s rifle is a smokin at the range?
I would love to try this.
Algoreithmn
What rifle is that?
Karl is using a 66 replica
The other is a 73 replica
Why not use the rifle then place it on the table puck the shotgun up for the red plate. Then place the shotgun on the table puck up the rifle and move on??
Extra movement to and from the table would eat up all the time saved by using the shotgun for one target.
@@ConcealedLiberal he had to reload the shotgun so it would be a lot less time
“You giving yourself your own Jedi mind-trick” 😂😂 @sinistrialrifleman
