I am a horticulturalist based in the UK, I grow over 1 million plants a year, some seed, some division, some Layering, but most via cutting, I would recommend again a low nutrient free draining soil like seed and cutting compost, you can use rooting hormone etc, but the key is base heat, never grown Dragon fruit, but try a base heat of 25 degrees C, the root ball will be twice as big on all your experiments. You give me knowledge on Sausages, I repay with knowledge on plants, Use a Professional growing media if you can source it.
I raise mybown worms. They're a neat hobby. The castings are fantastic fertilizer. If you place the castings in water, with an air bubbler, you'll have fantastic liquid fertilizer in 2 days. Personally, my absolute favorite thing to do is grow cactus from seed. Since dragonfruit are related, I would imagine they'd be very similar.
Amazing how informative you are. I planted eight varieties of dragon fruit last summer here in Northern California and keep Christmas tree lights on them through the exceptionally cold winter. Now that it’s starting to warm up they look great. Looking forward to more episodes. Mahalo!
Eric, I had my first yellow dragon fruit last fall and fell in love. I came across this looking for a fresh polish sausage recipe in your sausage videos. Great information. I will head over and check your other site. I live in hardiness zone 6b and have been thinking of growing a couple of these as patio plants that I can bring indoors to over winter. If you think that is doable, then please add me to your giveaway. All the best and thank you for taking the time for all your education on sausage making.
What a FANTASTIC video!!! I am curious what would happen with the mycorrhizal fungi AND worm castings? I'd like to know how fresh the worm castings were in this experiment also!!
Rooting hormones have different strengths when buying. Have u tried a higher dose root hormones? There are high strengths more expensive powders available?
Come on man, we want sausage. I killed a bear last fall and relied on you for chorizo tips. But it didn’t work out!! Too dry. We BC hunters need more tips and tricks from real pros like you to help us avoid butcher sausage fees, and to make the sausages that we want. You’re the best on RUclips for sausage tutorials, I’ve been a follower for years. Let’s get CELEBRATE SAUSAGE SEASON 3 up and running!!!!!! If you want some hunting opportunities here in BC, let me know. Let’s get it on!!!
No misprint. That's for people who are new to my channel. The way to enter is to be subscribed to both channels, comment, thumbs up the vid, and share the vid. I'll be picking 20 winners at random mid may.

How cold is cold? Outsiude or inside?
Below 40°F starts to be too cold.
Done and done. I just started my dragon fruit growing and videos like this help. I only have 4 cuttings currently.
I like the little sience experiment with roots. I hope to see more!!
Very nice video and seeing the different rooting method!!
Really interesting. This is about like all of the fig varieties and cuttings that I rooted. Thanks Eric.👍

This is a great series Erick
This is my first time trying cuttings. I wish I had known about the worm castings. I might swap out my soil mix for castings.
Using a heat mat would help to root as well.
Здравствуйте , я новичок и мне очень полезны ваши видео .спасибо .👍❤️🇬🇷❤️
Worm castings works faster for me without perlite. I use it over the growth hormones. More safe and organic.
I am in Thailand and I am starting my dragon fruit I now have more then 12 varieties 😊
Nice!!! They will grow amazing in Thailand
Appreciate your work, thanks!
AWESOME 4 different dragon fruit starts
does it matter WHEN you take a cutting?

Would like to see a video of you rooting a piece of cactus from a fruit in the store!
I would love to get more types of dragonfruit cuttings, preferably older cuttings as all my plants are in baby stages 😂
Great results...
Great video
I am going to be the only person in Buffalo NY growing dragon fruit!
Lol. I moved to Florida, so I find dragon fruit exciting! I'm trying to grow a life right now. 😊
Love the video and dragon fruit

I found a new fruit to attempt to grow!
Hello 👋
I am interested and i am in cental African, Zambia. Is it possible that you can send me some cuttings please?
Thank you.
Im wondering how well these would do in the desert….
In the desert they can grow well (with a little extra watering😉)
@@2guysandacooler Very good to know. Thanks 😊
Hey Eric, I subscribe to rare dragon fruit channel and then you say subscribe to both your channels is that a miss print?

👍👌
Done. We only have one cutting but hope to have more.
Should have done a 5th that had everything.
👍
Have you seen the banana rooting? Dragon fruit like a sandy soil. Straight potting soil will rot succulents.
The best rooting supplement BY FAR is fresh cut aloe vera.
Just put some aloe vera on it before sticking in the pot? Nice! So, it works better than rooting hormone?
Great video
