Speak as a representative of the administration and not always as Mr. Trump's daughter. Ultimately, I feel that having Ivanka in the White House will be beneficial for America. I do think she is a a positive influence on her father.
And I understand now why she doesn't publicly speak out on issues in which she disagrees. The man doesn't take well to that sort of thing. She will continue to have far more of an impact by not publicly exposing the discussions they may have behind closed doors. Hopefully she will be a voice of reason and compassion.
Under normal circumstances, I'd be more inclined to view this as problematic nepotism. And there are still plenty of factors that should not be overlooked. But at the end of the day, I trust her character more than I do her father. And I'm hoping that he values her input enough that it steers his decision making in a progressive direction.
