She's still a bit crazy but learning about her backstory makes it more of a tragic thing. She wanted so badly to be accepted by people that she tied up her entire self-worth into how 'useful' she is as a warrior to the point where she couldn't even play as a kid without viewing it as a form of training and even then only after being commanded to do so. In the end, she still was never accepted beyond her ability to proficiently kill people even by her own brother and was betrayed by everyone she fought for when her usefulness as a tool was considered over. What makes this all even more sad is that 'I never believed people would like me' is an idea that she died with meaning that it's hard baked into her Spirit Origin and she'll have to relearn how to make friends every time she is summoned as a Servant.
I have Myst's Rider tier list open on one tab on the Ushi segment, and playing through LB7 with Taira no Kagekiyo in my party. The coincidence is unreal.

Idk, it's hit and miss on the guys (Columbus is so punch-able it's not even funny, he's a high contender for worst Servant full-stop) and most of the servants who have alternate forms are better in other classes (Anne & Mary, Martha, Liz, Ishtar, Shikibu, Da Vinci and Marie all have better personalities in their other classes, Mordred and Artoria Alter could go either way though, compares to if you prefer their summer or original personalities since they are rather different).

I'll just randomly comment to suggest you guys to look up Genji: Dawn of the Samurai; a PS2-era action game where you play as Minamoto no Yoshitsune (Ushiwakamaru) alongside Benkei. Ushi dual-wields using both forehand and backhand styles. Ushi is also a guy in the game. Benkei slaps people around with an 8-foot metal pillar for a weapon. You also get to fight Benkei, just like in the stories, in the early chapter of the game. The game plays very similarly to Devil May Cry. It's a hidden gem in the PS2 era.

Oh, that's because in the Babylonia anime, Ritsuka was a big fan of Ushiwakamaru from Japanese history and media. He even pretended to be her during games as a child so he's a bit starstruck to actually meet her in the Singularity (and find out that she was actually a girl).
Initially I thought what Ushi had for Ritsuka is merely platonic. All of her dialogue in the game, including her interlude as well, did not come off as someone harboring romantic feelings. Her likes, wants, and wishes revolved around her brother and properly serving her "lord". That changed when they updated her dialogue though. Now, once you've completed part 1, she's become fully devoted to Ritsuka. A lot of her new dialogue gives strong implications of romantic attachment, to the point where her wish changed from wanting to get along with her brother to becoming Ritsuka's "pet". Although she's still too much of a "tomboy from the boonies", so I doubt she is aware of her own feelings.

Ushiwaka and i have a special bond where i get stabbed alot and i stab, slash, shoot, and explode Ushi while running like a headless chicken trying to stay alive. Cats are sometimes involved too😺
Man I loved this dub. Due to the comparison being HAYAMI FREAKING SAORI my initial impressions of English Ushiwakamaru wasn't the best, felt she just sounded like a generic teenager rather than giving the subtle aura of a swordswoman. But then she started going against Gorgon and... oh my.
I mean, to be fair, many of servants simp for Fujimaru. Including goddesses! But our BOI has is heart set on Mash. Cuz you best believe Fuji and Mash SMASHED ;) at the end of FGO! HAAHAHAHAHA
