  • After my morning was wasted, I headed back to the pier near my hotel to try to save the day during the afternoon. Plenty of beautiful tropical fish species were caught, but the highlight was a white damselfish (Dischistodus perspicillatus). While it might not have been the most beautiful catch today, it was my first time catching this species which made it that much more special.
Thanks to sgmultispeciesfishing ( / sgmultispeciesfishing ) for the tips that helped catch the white damselfish (Dischistodus perspicillatus).

Haha I try. There's so much of the world out there to see and so many different fish species out there to catch.

Great to see you in Thailand. I have fished there a lot. Those blueline groupers are a lot of fun to catch om lures 👍

Those wrasse are beautiful. The eels look super cool…but so much like a snake they would freak me out to catch one. That pier looks beautiful.

Thanks. I am a bit worried that eventually I'll catch a snake and think it's an eel.

Thank you, it sure was. I also saw a lot of Polish people there. Thailand was one of the last places I expected to hear people speaking Polish. Guess it turned into a popular tourist destination.

@@TheFishingNomad A lot of people from Poland go there on holiday. I think that wherever you go, you can definitely hear the Polish language everywhere😁

The most unexpected was several years ago in Vietnam. Craziest thing was that the people speaking Polish were Vietnamese, not Polish. I was so confused. It wasn't until after that I learned how big of a Vietnamese population actually lives in Poland.
