Out of the countless golf clubs and putters I've bought over the years, I can honestly say this is the only one that legitimately changed my game. My buddies and I are around the same handicap but I was the weakest putters so I rarely beat them. None of them have been beaten for a while now. The putter is so stable and forgiving that all I do is focus on speed and alignment and watch the putts drop. I feel that the key to using this putter is to not manipulate it in any way and let it do what it's supposed to do. The DF3 is an unbelievable design and literally the best purchase I've ever made in golf.
@sieghart132 Definitely custom, you don't want to spend that kind of money and not get custom plus the benefits of custom. I got the heavy version and the ACCRA shaft. The more expensive shaft isn't worth it, in my opinion.
Jacob- your sentiments echo mine. I have never putted better in my life since switching to the DF3 this spring. It is liberating to actually feel excited over a putt with confidence that I can make it, as opposed to dreading the inevitable bad stroke and threat of a 3 putt that turns a birdie chance into bogey. My index dropped by nearly 1/2 this summer in large part due to the drastic improvement on the greens. This is my third LAB putter- I also have the Mezz Max and Link. For months, I struggled with trying to manipulate the putter face until I found a grip (R hand low as a lefty, with my L thumb resting on my R wrist just above the R thumb) which allows the putter to swing freely and do its thing. Prior to this, I had some success putting one handed to reinforce the pendulum feeling one needs to have with these putters. For whatever reason, the way the DF3 sits at address just works perfectly to my eye. Couldn’t feel the same comfort with the Mezz Max.
I ordered one in the UK last Saturday from Scottsdale Golf. Custom built delivered to me 5 days later and I live on an island! Set my personal record today with it doing Phil Kenyons 100ft test. awesome.
Been using LAB DF 2.1 predominantly for a couple years. I started a LAB cult at my club. My 6th LAB arrives today. Counterbalanced DF3. Doubt it’ll be able to knock the DF2.1 out of the bag, but we will see. Here’s a question with the forward press set up of the putter. I have a left miss predominantly. I used to be a right aimer. So the one thing that is difficult for me with my DF 2.1 is setting the thing on on the ground and being confident in my aim point do you have any advice for this?
Question. Since your hands are on the grip and not on a revealer, doesn’t the head stay straight regardless of putter? Similar to the video when you put one finger on the putter grip while swinging it in the revealer.
Yeah ive never understood this. It's like the grip should be ball bearings to get the actual effect. Otherwise its just a mallet on a stick like anything else.
The key is to not manipulate the stroke in any way. Straight back straight through and let it do its thing. I've also noticed that standing closer to the ball really helps as well as lining up with the shaft in the middle of your stance and not the head. I've never put so good in my life. I hope it works for you as well as it has for me.
@jimlock6152 No problem, my buddy bought the same putter because of my results but is struggling with it, and it's because he keeps trying to manipulate the stroke. It's a hard habitat to break but he's getting better. I'm right-handed but use lead hand low cross handed, and it's been a game charger for me, but that comes down to feel and comfort. Best wishes on your game!
Good advice from Jacob...also try putting one handed with your putter. Much more difficult to manipulate the putter with just one hand. When you lock into that feeling of straight back and through with no manipulation with your hands...use your normal putting grip and focus on maintaining that feeling.
@@StanCrafted 50% of tendons are torn on my left elbow "extreme golfer's elbow " so I'm having surgery soon. Because I'm a golf freak I'll give this a try while I'm down for the next three months lol.
The Revealer is just a con - it only measures balance in one axis - torque and balance need to be considered and controlled in 3 axis to have control and justify the silly price of this putter.
It’s not a con. It just doesn’t do what you want it to. It shows rotational resistance or assistance based on “face balance” or “toe hang” putter profiles. I’m not a “lab” guy.

Custom is mandatory or stock is enough?

Just had my DF3 delivered this morning, (here in UK) it looks amazing, can’t wait to give it a go. Thank you. Melissa
Iv’e used one for several months now and I just love how easy putting has become.

Love these videos. We definitely need a comparison video with the new Odyssey Square 2 Square putters and maybe the evnroll too!
Cannot wait to order mine.

Was wondering if the old Tommy Armour ‘ZAAP’ putter was lie angle balanced and how it would perform in your Revealer?🤔
DF3 is a game changer for me.
It's freaking amazing! I feel like I'm cheating sometimes because it's changing my game so much. I've never dropped so many putts in my life.
I bought DF3. Do I have to aim more right, because it goes left. Also, do I put the ball forward? Do you have a video about it? Thanks!
very simular to the target-line balanced positive putter i had decades ago.
they used the same type of "revealer" device👍

He doesn’t grip the club. The revealer has a swivel that goes in the end.
I hope this answers your question.
How do you get use to distance feel?
I've my DF3, I have no problem with distance. This putter has changed my golf game like never before.
I ordered my putter on august 18. Still not been sent yet😢 hoping to receive it before christmas
wow, that's unusual, have you emailed them to ask?
The reply i got a couple weeks back is that they were waiting for materials in order to complete the order ☺️ so yea unfortunately have to wait
Can i order one in metallic royal blue?
Sure, just check out the configurator of the LAB website
Can I get "fit" for one of these putters?
For sure! We offer a remote fitting right through the website. Super simple and extremely accurate.
I love mine but I'm work in progress with my putting with it... but I'll get there... eventually

@@Jacob-ed1bl thank you for your advice, I'm very bad out to in with my putter.. I've done the thumbs off drill... I like the idea of standing closer

A satellite dish?! You make fun of the DF 2.1 more than anyone I know Sam🤣 well I LOVE THE SATELLITE DISH AND IT WILL REMAIN IN MY BAG! Red DF 2.1😎
I still use it!
I want to buy the Oz. Please release it faster lol
I dig the outfit
And the hair!

If you putted with a LAB putter in a revealer, you’re pretty much guaranteed a square club face aren’t you?
That’s the point. As long as you hit the middle.
👍
