I put a p pump Cummins in my blazer. It took 14 days. But I had everything ready. Including boxing the frame. And all engine mods were done on the floor. I love it. There's so much more to say if anyone is interested
Your camera work/framing is awesome!! I watch YT channels with millions of subscribers that give me a jittery headache. Audio is always on point, keep building your team and being you!
Dude, so happy for you losing that weight! I bet you already feel way better! I'm just so happy for you man, keep it up, I bet you'll feel so much better physically and mentally from that. Your videos have also been amazing and top notch recently! I look forward to a new JH Diesel video like I do a Cleetus video. Keep it all up man! Hell, it has inspired me to lose some weight as well!
that cummins is bullet proof after a long life of work and hauling, it gets handed to JH for an even harder life and its still kicking! cummins for the win
You can buy all the pieces to fix the body like cab corners and rockers. They even sell pieces that are standard rot spots like the dog leg of the fenders and that so all you got to do is measure the new piece cut the bad out and tack the new in and your set just shoot it with primer or mud the weld seams and paint it up and the mofo will look new. The truck you have is in better shape then what us mid west guys got to deal with that's for sure.
I did the same thing your doing about 7 years ago but the truck I had was a 1974 chevy that had a straight 6 engine from the factory. I wanted to go with a 12 valve but the price of those engines and finding a truck worth cutting up was nowhere in my price range so I went with a 24 valve I blasted the frame put all new suspension on it and put the chevy cab and box on it and it fit real good almost like it was meant to go like that. Anyway I ended up selling it back in 2020 but I want to do another one sometime again maybe go with the newer 6.7 liter.
I’m partial to a cummins in a c/k series but I have to say no need to do a body swap. C20 chassis on mine takes 42lbs of boost with 37s daily(4wd swap)
Another idea is to make it fully mechanical. Internal regulator on the alternator and a pull cable to to pull the pump lever up. I've got a few ideas for you justin
The square body duramax project is why I subscribed. I’m glad to see something happening with it. Still like all the other videos but that’s what made me sub
just curious to know what you originally paid for the second gen and how long have you had it , trucks in that shape with a 5 speed are bringing 7k-10k its amazing
I freakin love the build plans guys! But honestly your freakin CRAZY for ditching the manual trans from behind the Cummins! If its just going to be a cruiser/all around pickup, and not a drag race build. Y'all really should consider rounding up a modern 6-speed manual and upgrade the few needed parts in it to "bullet proof" it + an HD medium pedal weight clutch. THINK IT THROUGH BIG FELLA, Don't Upset America And Throw An Auto In It!! 🙏 !! SQUARE BODY ✅️ 4X4. ✅️ CUMMINS ✅️ 6-SPEED MANUAL ✅️ DONT BE AN IDIOT!! 😆😉💚
@witcher71 Read what I wrote again.. Yes, there are some needed upgrades. If the pickup is going to be a cruiser (even at a higher torque level) and not a purpose built competition rig.
2 trash trucks get a 2nd life as a hybrid truck... what's the problem??? This is what you want to do... do it !!! haters gonna hate... perhaps offer the chevy up for sale and when no one buys it tell the haters to clamp their pie hole.. LOL I agree with some of the comments about Lil J... He needs a shirt or merch calling him " Lil J the Crocmechanic.. Some mechanicing is done better with Crocs." ....There is something for ya ... just keep doing what ya do... we all know not one person would have bought the sq body and you already saved it once... both trucks deserve another life... thanks for all you do for us !!!
could add the few inches to the bed of the sqiare body , either bij moving the fenders or adding a ittle bit to the front of the bed btw finnigan did a cummins swap in a stock chevrolet (frame too) he had a small problem , the rear pushrod touched the valance plate (where the wipers mount) , and because he couldnt get the puishrod out he couldnt get the head of the block with the block in the truck he had to drill a hole in that plate (its hidden under the hood) to be able to get the pushrod out with the engine in place ruclips.net/video/5hFKA42MVbE/видео.html (at about 14:00)
I have to ask how did those old Chevys hold up, putting such a high horsepower diesel engine in a truck that was never designed for it, you know the frame Springs differential things like that, can you actually work the truck hard, or is it just a trailer queen
Jh who?.....cut an inch off the front of the box. Cut the front off, cut whatever you need off the box and then weld the front back on. You'd never notice it and Justin has the skills to do the fab. Then you can center your wheels in the wheel wells....my 2 cents
I really really need the paint coad off the 78 if anyone can help it would be appreciated I believe it's called bronze orange metallic I can't find anything online
Just ask Cleetus over at McFarland autobody to give her the ole WAM POW with the sHYSTER!!
Great idea! Worked out for the jet boat, haha
YESSIR
I was about to suggest that!
@@iwantmyvanback That wasn't the shyster. That was the skid steer. The shyster is their forklift that they use for frame adjustments.
Justin is a great addition to this channel . Dude is real smart. 💪🏼💪🏼
Guarantee VGG would take that chasis

@matthewtully8888 about 5k
Justin needs a shirt dedicated to him about his ability to be one helluva mechanic while wearing crocs 🤣
I’d wear the hell out of that
I was just dreaming of this build the other day. You read my mind. Great job on the weight loss. Can't wait to see this truck rip.
Your camera work/framing is awesome!! I watch YT channels with millions of subscribers that give me a jittery headache. Audio is always on point, keep building your team and being you!
I’ve been so excited to see this build since he did the back story on the square body
Give it a quick sandblast and a coat of paint before you put the other body on it. Doesn't have to be perfect, just make it presentable.
Can’t wait to see this build come together!
8:28 the sound of laughter from a true friend 😂
I had a buddy build a sweet Cummins and put it in a four door 80s chevy truck that he completely restored. It was so sick
Today little boy blue came and blew his horn and the pied Piper whistled a tune,🤣✌️🤣
I'll haul that scrap cab and bed away for you. I live close to your shop so I'll give you a good deal.
Thank you for saving square bodies

I got a 90 squarebody suburban I wanna cummins swap.
Stoked for this build, cummins swapped squarebody is my dream truck
I absolutely love my Cummins swapped square! Can’t wait to see this build!
I love it I Wanna Build a 95 2 or 4 door Tahoe with a 5.9 and the frame to make solid axle or do a 2wd with Tahoe frame
I love squares and love Cummins engines so this is awesome
I feel like this is just the beginning of something very fun.
Yo just move the pin on the leaf spring 1/2 and get adjustable links and run them out 1/2 🎉😮
EVERYONE NEEDS A JUSTIN HE IS AWESOME , NO AUGURING NO BITCHING, JUST GETS THE SHIT DONE
I can almost guarantee Derek from vice grip garage will want that chassis..
A diesel swapped square body has become a recent bucket list item, love this new project! 👍
Congrats on the weight loss JH!
Keep up the great work guys!
Can’t wait to see this thing roll out of the shop on its own power going to look freakin sick
I was asking about the orange square at the Bristol 1000! Sick🤙🏻
When you move the engine and Trans back 4" you will have to add 4" to front drive shaft and cut 4 off the rear shaft. Just saying.
You might want to straighten the rear frame b4 you mount the bed! But I'm a true Chevy guy and like what you're doing!
Looking forward to this build.
that cummins is bullet proof after a long life of work and hauling, it gets handed to JH for an even harder life and its still kicking! cummins for the win
I hope they clean up the frame first before the swap

Damn I would kill to get a manual swap for my 96 cummins
Cool transmission for a low power truck.
@@witcher71 Yes. And it should work perfectly in a completely stock 180 horsepower truck.
JH and Justin y'all rock! Glad you lost all that weight keep up the weight loss. That swap is gonna be great. Peace
I’m partial to a cummins in a c/k series but I have to say no need to do a body swap. C20 chassis on mine takes 42lbs of boost with 37s daily(4wd swap)
Please refresh that poor 5.9 at some point she deserves that. Loving the swap idea she will look great now
Excited to see the upcoming Cummins content!!!👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
Wishing all of you good health and peace.
Wishing all car drivers good luck
Another idea is to make it fully mechanical. Internal regulator on the alternator and a pull cable to to pull the pump lever up. I've got a few ideas for you justin
Cut if off from the rivets over and back half it on a tubular chassies🎉
Think we also need to see a dt466 swapped 7.3 super duty..
This is awsome! I'm doing a 24v p pump on my 99 k3500
What you do with the c20 frame, I can use it for my truck build
The square body duramax project is why I subscribed. I’m glad to see something happening with it. Still like all the other videos but that’s what made me sub
There will be a square body duramax project in the future. When the time is right.
You guys should shorten the C20 frame, slap in a metal floor for seats and feet, toss some huge ass tires on it - and go mudding. Maybe add a cage.
Should be a comfy cruiser when you're done
just curious to know what you originally paid for the second gen and how long have you had it , trucks in that shape with a 5 speed are bringing 7k-10k its amazing
It's too bad you didn't have a motor and transmission with that truck it would be a pretty good backup for the Ron burgundy
Pit the cab and bed center and the gap between the bed and cab will change
Gtfo can’t wait hurry up I’ll come down ther n help if I gotta
I can use the frame .
No wonder you wanna swap the drive train and frame. That thing looks like Swiss cheese!
Just hit the wall without the bed on and it’ll tweak it back where you want lol
i wasn't sold on the cummins at first. but by the end, you got me on board.
Great video. .....but my girlfriend is dying laughing at how many times you said frame hahaha!!!!😂
Just open the bed to cab gap up a little
Bring it out to Plant Bamboo next month.
Really? Just square and level that thing!
You got this JH!
Would have been easier to swap the engine and a Dana 60 into that Chevy frame. Been there, done that.
Almost my dream build but want to do that in a 1st gen K5
I dig yalls stuff, yall act like my type of guys lol and who id hang with
Let Ole Cleeter give it a couple tugs with his his certified forklift skills!
Really enjoy build projects
Throw some center caps on it , keep the wheels! And some MUD GRAPS
For me to comment 3 times on 1 video means you're doing something right
Love the project man!
Love the channel
Hey JH got a 2010 f250 regancy badlander with a bad motor and sitting for a few years how much to fix the motor and bulletproof it
Hell yeah brother I cannot wait for the upcoming episodes.
That's the Cummins camper addition.
Hell yeah!!! My two favorite trucks come together lol!!!
I freakin love the build plans guys!

No NV4500 is going to live behind a big power Cummins. Ever.
@witcher71
Read what I wrote again..
Yes, there are some needed upgrades.
If the pickup is going to be a cruiser (even at a higher torque level) and not
a purpose built competition rig.
@@Rusty.1776 You think JH is going to detune that engine? Neither did I. We're talking about the truck in this video. Not a general consensus.
Just drop the cab in the new dually bed? Does Justin drive a ford? That would explain a lot.
Stick with the fitness man. Itll only make you better, stronger, faster! Well done losin 22.2#!
70's ford truck next
Sweet project Justin ...can't wait hell yea
Super cool build

Talk about making me miss my 78 GMC 455 olds swap
@JH once it's all done, it would be sick to see @bodevision give it a nasty paint job. You gotta check his work truck out
Nice work on the weight loss challenge!
Cut the mounts off the Chevy frame and use them
Your insurance company must just love seeing Justin working in Crocs in the shop
10:13 socks n boots
Cleetus Body shop ( forklift and a chain ) can fix it
@MrJHDiesel- I WON I WON I.....hey....wait a min.....
great shape for 2nd gen.
could add the few inches to the bed of the sqiare body , either bij moving the fenders or adding a ittle bit to the front of the bed
btw finnigan did a cummins swap in a stock chevrolet (frame too) he had a small problem , the rear pushrod touched the valance plate (where the wipers mount) , and because he couldnt get the puishrod out he couldnt get the head of the block with the block in the truck
he had to drill a hole in that plate (its hidden under the hood) to be able to get the pushrod out with the engine in place
ruclips.net/video/5hFKA42MVbE/видео.html (at about 14:00)
Just build a badass flat bed for it
We need another 2nd gen though to play with

@MrJHDiesel My grandfather had a truck the same color and I'm restoring a 79 3/4 ton and want to paint it the same color
Awesome project can't wait to see it done.
get fired up for this build!!
Hell yea!!!! Love the new build!!!! Keep it up!!
Merricks Garage RUclips channel is dealing with Squarebodys. He might want the frame.
This is going to be epic!! Your content keeps getting better and better!
Damn always respect someone losing weight. 💪💪
Thats guna be a fun truck.
nice build my brother.
