@@KapitanPisoar1 I was just refering to future generations but children reads better. And, it is already too much we don't need anymore. One day in sure some bright spark might work out it can be fired into the sun or something but until we can deal with the waste it's unethical to make it. Renewables are a far more intelligent way of creating electricity. What we need to work on is energy storage to complement it, over time wind, sun and hydro will only become more efficient and cost effective. Nuclear is 60s technology.
@@bhew7409 Nuclear is 60s technology? What kind of argument is that? In that case wind is 7th century technology, the hydro is a 3rd century BC tech and the solar is 1830s technology. And you call me ignorant, how funny is that...
Excellent concept, though there are some questions remaining. Globally, electricity as a proportion of total energy is only around 22% according to sources. This will increase as the world shifts towards electric powered transport. Also, in the US, renewables only make up ~20% of total energy and so, 29% globally could be an overstatement. Also, renewables are not the only climate-saving option. Nuclear is likely the biggest contender for safe electron generation. Cheers - Dave
@@GregHassler Greg - yes, I've just read the IEA report on renewables, 2021. Interestingly wind is charted to be the top growth area in renewable electricity sources. I'm surprised nuclear is so low at around 10%. If we can solve for the obvious nuclear concerns - perhaps starting with not plonking a nuke plant smack bang on a fault line - then surely we'll be headed in a strong direction. Usage is obviously the other side of the equation - usually tracks strongly with GDP growth. How to buck that trend will be a challenge for us all. Cheers - Dave

Video is good, and it weights in on a important subject. But sustainable sources from wind turbines might not be the best option. Just take a look at what is happening in Norway. Trying to save the planet and climate with destroying nature and wild places to get energy from sustainable sources.
Until China and India agree to make real change in the way they treat the environment, this is all just useless political posturing. The science isn't even settled as to what is causing the climate to change anyway, but the speed its changing isn't what is being touted. Its just alarmist foolishness. Should stick to riding bikes...
@@MsTbeasT I think sustainable sources for energy is a good thing, no matter what china and india does. But we have to it in a way that doesn't destroy what is not already destroyed
@@Richrr119 I agree that developing technology that fixes sustainable energy is a good direction, but you are always going to have to destroy something to create the system. Its a fine balancing act, and I don't think we have hit the right balance with anything we are using yet. Certainly not wind power. I'm not suggesting that we stop trying. I am suggesting that we stop amplifying the voices of climate alarmists who have been saying the worlds guna end because of human-cause climate change for 50 years. Their deadlines have come and gone many times over. And I am suggesting that no matter what we in the west develop and implement, if China and India don't get on board it won't even matter that we took the time to do it. Until a countries population reaches a certain level of wealth per capita, I forget what the figure is, their populations will not care about the environment because they have more pressing concerns, such as feeding, clothing and maintaining shelter. I feel the issue is far more complex than most people realise...
Also note that lithium isn't unsafe, it's one of the more prominent materials on earth (and in the universe), and I bet you'll find some in your medicine cabinet.

What a great video Danny (and the cycling wasn't too shabby either).
Absolute belter. Loved the whole thing and what a song too! Smashed it Danny and well done to everyone involved 🎥🤝
Great Project and Video! Thank you Danny for your support. I also invest heavily in renewable Electricity. We need to replace all Oil, Gas and Coal, that is a massive Challenge that we can only solve together.

I love Danny. Confused why they showed a nuclear power plant when talking about what is contributing to climate change tho.
That is a cooling tower, not necessarily a NPP's.
Same
pretty sure that was one of the cooling towers are Grangemouth. You can see the Queensferry Crossing bridge in the background.
Nuclear power plants have 10x smaller CO2 emissions than renewables, that is solar and wind turbines. The cooling tower emits water vapour only. Good point noting it. There is a lot of misconceptions about nuclear energy.
None of the nuclear power stations still operational in the UK have cooling towers. Most of the decommissioned ones didn’t have them either.
Damn i literally shit myself when he rode that blade, Dan the Man 👍
I cannneeee even pop a wheelie some of this guys tricks are just mind blowing 👍🏻 Solar flares 🌋

You force the servers and network infrastructure to work harder. This is especially true for HD quality videos with a high framerate (60fps). Not to mention the need for storing multiple copies of videos and backups. You are part of the problem and the reason why they have emissions.
Coal power plant also have cooling towers, but well, these towers are much scarier than the chimneys
I can't even post a comment without someone removing it. CO2, most likely, has nothing to do with the minuscule warming we observed throughout the 20th century.
@@C_R_O_M________ AI filter can be overzealous. Speaking on CO2, I don't understand why people with zero credentials or at least legitimate interest in climate science are so obsessed with blaming pretty much anything but the human CO2 emissions. What is most likely here is that you don't know much about climate.
Amazing! We at Recon Aerial inspect these turbines using drones and are part of the renewable industry. Combining Dannys' incredible human power with the vast potential of renewable power is not only timely it's a perfect match! Nice going, Danny.
When we went out on the turbine blade I was getting annoyed until I saw he was tied off and that allowed me to enjoy it to the end. Sometimes the risks are just too much. Great video as always.
Astounding. I never much liked walking jibs on tower cranes but this is way beyond that.

talking about climate change then proceeds shows the number 1 cleanest energy, Nuclear Power.
He didn't though. He showed cooling towers. That could be any plant. The scene looked like it was filmed up the Forth. Probably Grangemouth.
@@BrokenBackMountains Its always shown as pollution, but its just steam as its a closed loop system (which comes back down as rain).
@@speedsquishstupid But it wasn't a nuclear plant. It was probably part of the Grangemouth refinery.
That's not a nuclear station, pretty sure it was the Eggborough coal power station and it was demolished earlier this year (just recently).

Nuclear waste is a gift our children dont want or need.
@@bhew7409 The amount of waste is fairly small and they are safe ways to store it. Btw. the "argument" with the children is the most pathetic way for people without any argument to defend their cause. Always reminds me of the Simpsons :D
And you call me ignorant, how funny is that...

wind energy is only one solution. but it is at least a theme for another youtube clip. props for the stunts.
29% globally is the correct number per the IEA, the US is behind.

Danny Mac is the Best! Amazing video for the future of out planet. Thank you!
@@MsTbeasT the science is WELL settled and has been since over 30 years… sad to see there’s still people around that don’t want to understand
