This is great! I did that for the first time today and it helped so much. I can see the first results! Sorry for my bad English... Greetings from Germany
Hey, this was great. I've tried so many things to get my middle splits and I made great progress just doing this video once. What weight kettle bells do you recommend to start with? Thank you so much!!
Couldn't tell you because we don't know anything about you, but use common sense, and maybe try ankle weights (which come in very standard weights) as a starting point.
@@BreakingMuscleTV No worries, your video actually suggests 8-10lb kettle bells, so I bought 4kg (8.8lbs) and working great! ankle weights not effective for me. I'm a 56 year old adult ballet student and I think your video is going to help me get my middle splits for the first time in my life! lol Thanks again.
Okay, obviously there's a sexy aspect to this. But this was actually very educational. I do something similar to your last stretch except I use one of those leg stretcher bars to pull my legs down. Don't know if I like it. Any thoughts?
Maybe because you still put too much stress on your knee joints? I'm just assuming, but when I tried middle splits for quite some weeks martial arts style with the feet on the ground and staying there for a while my knees would hurt and sometimes even make a sound... After some more weeks not doing anything and then just doing everything with the feet turned out it was gone. If you go into an oversplit position (even if not doing an oversplit, but with the knees being in the air) the stretch can also effect your knee joint. I noticed that with front oversplits by doing them from blocks normally and then supporting my knee by wearing bandages. Also by pulling up the knees and pushing the hips forwards/contracting the butt muscles I feel way less tension going in the knees but rather working more into the splits. Do you know, what I mean?
Great tutorial. Il apply those tips for sure. Can't wait to get my full splits. This is motivating
My gosh !!! That hurt but it’s a relief 🥲 ‼️‼️

these are great progressions, but they are over-split progressions, you'd have to have a good split before attempting these.

It's because her arms are as long as her legs.
