Hockey is where its at, expanding into America bringing more $$ into a smaller / cheaper market currently. McDavid, Gretzky, Howe, Crosby, Ovy rookies all blue chips.

I'd be interested to see what that Ovechkin comes back as if you regrade. By rule, you never buy/trade for an authentic auto PSA. There is always a reason that the original graded was afraid to grade it. I'd consider the value less than raw. At least with a raw, you can really see the product up close. I love the video, and I'm hoping you prove me wrong.

The hall they used before seemed like it was a lot bigger. This one was narrow and long and it went to the left a but. The booths in the back felt isolated from the main hall area.
Just think, I sold a near perfect Rookie Gretzky in the 90’s (it was the best of 3 near perfect Topps cards) for $300 bucks…on a bad day it was an “8” and on a good day a “9” or “10”. How much did I loose not hanging on to it? (And I can’t find the other 2 cards).
i’ll never forget my first card show last year i watched some guy beside me pick up a psa 4 gretzky for like 4.5k cash , he looked at me and said , “try hiding this from ur wife just to buy a card” and i’m like wtf 🤣🤣 i was looking at 20-40$ cards lolol

Love that you’re getting into hockey. I have really gone in on hockey cards this year. Old and new. I collect and rip for fun and hockey wax ROI is so much better than the big 3 sports. It’s not a huge market but hockey has a loyal following. Ripped 4 cases of The Cup and I’m either even or up a little. Small sample but it’s very hard to completely brick out like you do in prizm per say. The ceiling is a lower but the floor is much higher. Sidney Crosby NHL logo auto 1/1 was my best pull. I think 2019-20 (which is most recent release) has a lot of depth with rookies. I’m not sure if it has the next Mcdavid or Mathews but there’s several guys already making big impact like Hughes brothers, Makar, Fox, Suzuki, Igor, Kaapo, Farbee, Kubalik. Fun stuff. I need to get a Connor rookie. Young Guns psa 10 are no bargain right now.

Bought two of those PSA 10 Mcdavid cards back in 2016 for $450 each. Lol, card market is out of control! Inflated prices due to rigged crypto and stock market! But I’m not complaining.

The Ovechkin Future Watch card is a great card. Collectors need to be very careful for individuals who get the card's auto graded ONLY. This could point to a sign of a poor grade followed by a regrade (auto only). I always stay on the safe side and purchase a card with a final grade, as well as an autograph grade. Scratches and hairline creases are hard to pick up at the best of times, notwithstanding the fact that the surface is even harder to detect within an already slabbed card.
