That was a fantastic outing in a very beautiful location. Your editing just keeps getting better and better. You caught some gorgeous Walleye and Goldeye! Good job to your dad for that huge Walleye! 💪 Your last one was a beast as well!
Thank you! I can't get over how beautiful of a location it is. There were for sure some nice fish landed in the boat. I am glad my dad could out do me with another tank Walleye! I appreciate all the support, thank you!
@MainstreamAngling cool! I'll keep a lookout for it. My mom sent me this video, because we wanna go for walleye, but haven't had much luck recently. She's pretty much my mentor for fishing, though my uncles in Newfoundland introduced me to it when I was 8. I hope they're hungry when we arrive!
@@rickandmortyfan649 Very cool! Fishing is a great activity to do with family! For the walleye your best bet is to fish the deep pools by slowly hopping a 3 inch swimbait along the bottom. Best of luck out there!
Awesome video guys! Gets me pumped up for summer. One thing you might want to note for future fishing on the Red Deer River, bait is illegal upstream of Tolman bridge, including those scented Powerbait Power Minnows you’re using (aside from maggots, which are allowed so people can fish whitefish). Would you guys have caught as many with unscented ones like Jackall? Almost definitely, but just wanted to make sure you guys, or anyone watching your videos, don’t get fined if CO’s roll up on you and you’re unaware.
Absolutely! Gonna be having to get back out to the Red Deer River soon! All the plastics I used in the video were unscented. However I appreciate you bringing this to my attention!
The regulations are based on the location pf where you are fishing the river. But downstream from a certain area there becomes an open limit for pike and walleye. And I believe that you can keep goldeye everywhere. I’m m glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for commenting!
nice video, nice walleye. my dream is to start at the Tolman Bridge to the border or the end of the reddeer River. camp and fish. thanks for another great video
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! That trip from Holman to the border sounds like a blast! You should definitely do it if given the opportunity! I appreciate all the support Justin!
I agree in the usefulness of landing nets, we had forgotten ours. But with that being said, the way we held the fish was perfectly fine. I agree to not touch the gills as it could result in the fish having respiratory problems in the future. However, the way I was holding the walleye was by the gill plate, which does not harm the fish at all. I’m a big believer in conservation and I have quite a bit of experience holding fish like this. I appreciate your concern for the fish but I assure you they were all release very well.
Beautiful Country
@@99problemsbutafishaintone35 The badlands are a sight to be seen.
