Guys, I'm really enjoying these topics and videos. Can you answer this simple question. For Amateur Radio HF common mode suppression applications (1 - 30 MHz) we typically use toroids made from mix 31 or mix 43. What mix should we use for HF transformers ? Would that be mix 52 ?
Hi,like your video s,do you think phase compensation is necessary in the test of core loss at MHz。Can you recommend a power loss test system that can compensate phase angel.
Multi-MHz core loss measurements are difficult due to that phase measurement (even with great compensation). We use a custom made resonant test method to eliminate the phase measurement dependency. For off the shelf systems up to 1MHz, there are several decent ones. The Clarke Hess 2335A is what we use here
