I‘ve seen every performance and listened to every song she’s ever done. It makes me so mad when people don’t appreciate her like I do. I wish she would post Instagram covers consistently to popular songs while she’s not making albums so these SLEEP people will have NO CHOICE, but to listen to her sing!!!!!
Nah she has a good following and I don't hear her complaining. If you are mentioning popular radio....she soars so far above that CRAP which is why you won't hear her music played there. Just image if people came out of the funct and heard REAL music. The world is not ready. It's like Solange is actually better than Beyonce but no one will ever say it or admit it because Beyonce can growl... anyway. I came to know of Jazmine Sullivan's music when I lived in Louisiana in '15. This song was so hot! I heard her name but never reallt listened but this song jumped out at me from the clever sample of After 7s Ready or Not, one of my favorite songs, to her immaculate, sultry delivery. I love the natural breaks in her voice. It's masterful.
Unfortunately is you have to be versatile. She is ridiculously gifted! She has to switch it up. Example..The best white singers usually sound black right? Black artist that usually have success do like a alot of pop stuff. So she has to do more popish stuff to keep it real. That's why I feel and believe why she's not big as she should be.
Mark Jefferson are you serious?! Did you NOT here her last album! Every song was literally a different artist! From Lana Del Rey Lauryn Hill Beyoncé and even Lady Gaga. Versatility? I’m sorry but you need the doctor to check your ears and re-listen to that entire album and hear the artists she sounds very similar to writing wise and vocally and then come back and comment properly please.

One of the biggest reasons beyonce is successful is her marketing. She's not a better singer then Sullivan but is it safe to say she's bigger? Beyonce isn't a better singer then keke wyatt or alot of other singers if we are being honest yet she's bigger. You gotta be versatile in your music. Because you add collaborations doesn't make you versatile, it just means you have collaborations. Versatile meaning her sound is to edgy. Meaning she sings one way,and one genre.
This generation isn't interested in real singers. they like pretty people and gimmicks. I know this is a generalization, but one based on observation of successful artist in the industry.

I love Jasmine her voice is powerful and raspy and she's very unique. Not trying to sell secrets, just sings and writes from experience that's what makes her real and relatable thru genres and generations. She's fairly new in R&B but just because she doesn't have Beyonce fans doesn't make her less talented or beautiful. She's building her base and on her way to legendary status one day.
