Needs some polishing? They need to be thrown out and completely redone. We don't want Total War diplomacy screens. We had infinitely better diplomacy screens 2 civs and 14 years ago, so this is totally inexcusable.
Notable Takeaways vs civ 6: * Settlers can now defend themselves and get destroyed if beaten (no more capturing). Settlers cannot attack units. * Rivers can be used to enhance trade routes, silk road style, but can only traverse on rivers connected to the main river system/ocean * Combat continues between two battle units as you progress. * AI was said to be more "purposeful". A ton more staff was hired on the AI team and there's basically less ways for the AI to fumble or slip up. * Builders are gone, you can now select specicific worker units for your city (woodsmen for example) as you build and grow, so no more worrying about builder management, it's baked into the city building system with options on how you want to build out your town. *Event cards are back from the older games, which can change how you progress in the game *Eureka's and Inspirations have been removed *Antiquity stage lets you build social systems, archetecture and language communities (the languages start as ancient languages and become more complex as you progress in later periods). When you start out a city doesn't just appear instantly but you build up from nothing and add more and more to your city. * Playing tall vs playing wide is the main focus in how you play. You get less control in how you manage cities but a lot more options *Pantheon and other unique tile improvements cannot be removed but stack up over time

I hope I am mishearing and Hatshepsut is not speaking Egyptological Egyptian rather than 15th century BC Middle Egyptian.
Her face is elongated compared to her portraits. Similar issue as with Total War Pharaoh’s Tausret.
Her dress looks cheap for a queen.
Octavian speaks with a 21st century Italian accent.
🥲
What are you expecting, a graduate level course on ancient egyptian history? This is a video game that is meant for a mass market. If you want nitpicking historical accuracy, check out a Paradox game.
@@jonathanbowers8964 historical accuracy and Paradox don’t rhyme. They had camel cohorts in 5th century BC Rome and entire made-up countries in their Imperator Rome, in addition to resources that are basically mana.
A leader’s appearance, which includes speech, is basically all the character a civilisation has got in this series. Getting it right for every leader should not be hard. Especially considering that everything I’ve referred to is Wikipedia level knowledge.
Kemet! Let's go!
Yeah. It's amazing how dark the Egyptians are in this game, they actually have dark skin, like really dark skin...
Is “Build something you believe in” the new “Can you build a civilization that will stand the test of time?” Cause idk it sounds kinda generic
Persönliche Meinung : Solange die Hardware voraussetzung des Spiels zu hoch sind und meine beiden Heimaten Deutschland und Persien nicht spielbar sind...ist es für mich Sinnlos Spiel anzuschauen bzw zu testen....
i really hate how the leaders talk to each other and not directly to the player.
