Thanks man. I did that by going out in dusk which is about the same level of lighting on the field. I did that for the viewers. i have actually used it at night in practice on the game field and I had a lot of trouble seeing the ball.
Great observation. I think it will show you more but you can still tell it's tinted except when you are in direct light. And it has no effect on my vision at night.
Depends on the facemask. Any of the Ion facemasks that end in DW or SW it will fit with clips and a modified middle tab. All other facemasks (like the one I had) need two zip ties per side.
Thanks! Glad you like the videos! Sorry man I don't really don't have old equipment as I just started playing last year. Ebay has lots of inexpensive things though.
Kind of hard to explain but you place the visor face up like it is in the video, then you take a serrated knife (google it, there is one in your kitchen), and you grab the visor firmly (don't worry it won't break), then saw back and forth over the top of the visor. Go slow so you don't scratch it. Once 1/2 way through, bend the tab backwards to break it off.
I have the GridIron. Get the Blitz though. That's the new that doesn't come with a middle tab and also comes with different color decals for you visor like the Oakley one.
The Nike visors cone in different shades. I'm not sure which one you are referring to but I would check with the league. Most likely they will require clear.
If I do it won't be till next spring and if they come out with something other than clear. Right now they only have clear. No middle tab is good because it will fit on more helmets and the middle tab isn't needed anyway.
i have one on my revo 360 i love it i love how it comes with so many extras to like to change color and #'s and under armour stickers and i love how underarmor has the diferent clips WAY better!!!!
I know people that use both Oakley and Nike on the Speed. You do have to turn the clips upside down on a Speed though. I may do a updated visor review in Season 2. Biggest thing I see different about the new Nike Blitz is that there is no middle tab that makes it able to fit on every helmet out. I haven't tested it out so I don't know any other differences.
You probably got the new visor with no middle tab; the one that only comes in clear. That ones has different colors but the older models with the middle tab do not.
great videos man, thanks for your time and dedication. do you have any experience wearing mirrored visor inserts? i'm curious to see how/if the color of the mirror affects the vision. my amber insert (nike visor) turns the vision blue. it doesn't affect depth perception and it's perfect for day games, but at night under lighting is a different story. thanks again
No it's not. The curvature is different, the clarity is different, the tint is different (Oakley clear is still a little mirrored), and the UV protection is different.
My mirrored one scratched when I put my helmet in my bag. It scratched the mirrored over coat they put on the outside. I still use it during the day time though.
Ive only used Oakley visors in the rain and it has never fogged on me. It could be the humidy...fog happens from a difference is temperature on different sides of the visor Could be from your body heat and breathing inside vs the temperature and humidity outside of the helmet. In light rain something the rain can catch the light and distort your vision. I suggest not wearing a visor in the rain.
A serrated knife. You prolly have one in your kitchen. You put the visor on a table with the outside face-up so the bubble part is off the table. Then you put a hand on the visor and push down a little hold it firm. Take the knife and saw back and forth. When you are about half way through, just bend the tab back and forth.
I did...I stated why I didn't compare UA in the first 2 mins of the vid. i just don't they are the best. I'm not a fan of the HUGE clips that are on Under Armour.
Price and RG3 look like they wear a Schutt Air XPs. I would go with a top helmet. Either a 360, Speed, or Ion 4D. If those are too expensive, I would check out the Schutt DNA Pro+. All of those are better than Air XP. I would do Oakley over Nike for visors.
You have to check with your local rules but I don't no any highschool league that approves anything besides clear visors. 60% sometimes works because they can still see your eyes.
Sometimes people sell them on ebay. Otherwise go to the company website and call the customer service number. They should be able to tell you where to get them.
I dont think they make it any more. It took me forever to find and the site i bought it from doesnt sell it any more. if you try ebay that may be your best bet.
@Matthew Mayes I've only had it fog up one time and its because I was wearing my helmet on my head and my head was really hot. It took less than a minute to clear up. Sweat has not dripped onto my visor but I also wear a stocking cap that helps absorb sweat.
Thank you very much. I almost went and order the Oakley 20% grey, I thought that 20% mean 20%gray . Our coach said that you had to be able to see trough the visor if you got knocked out. Got all of the info I needed. thanks.!
No blue is going to be blue and be really dark. The gray is a gray tint that is almost as dark as the blue. The mirror is another tint. I'm not sure if they make it anymore.
Yeah I may do one soon. You have to turn the clips upside down. Also helps if you take off the face mask. Check out my how to take apart of Revo Speed video if you need help.
They don't come with anti-fog spray but you really don't need it. Mine have never fogged up. You can buy anti-fog spray for motorcycle helmets if you really need it.
I am a huge fan. Can you make a video about under armour, Nike, and Oakley visor review which one is better and what position would they be perfect for
Visors are used for 3 reasons. 1) To protect your eyes from fingers, fist, and others things that can hurt/blind you. 2) To shade the sun and increase contrast to make it easier to see the ball. 3) To look good. Swaaaaag. Any position that wants to protect his eyes can use one.
Do you mean is blue available to the public? Yes it is. If you are asking if I will get it, the answer is no. The blue visor is a 22% tint and most of my games are at night, so I wouldn't be able to see. A couple of my teammates have them and they don't play with them.
Its super easy...just depends on the facemask you have. Check my other vid you commented on. If your facemask is like that then look at the vid...I talk about the clips. Also check the vid on how to take a part a Speed vid to remove the facemask.
Hey man I got to say you do some really good and very in depth reviews I was wondering if you know anything about the Adidas Visors and how they compare to the nike and oakley
All of my reviews are done after I use the products in either game or practice situations. I just tried to show you what it looks like. My coaches are not fond of me having the camera around practice like that.
I've done that already on this channel. It's called how to put on football equipment. Also be sure to subscribe to IKF Football Diairies on RUclips for even more stuff like that.
I'm just wondering how much did you pay for your 60% gray Oakley visor, I saw the same one you have the other day for $60 at a oakley store. I've been thinking about getting one
Could be a coincidence. I bend my visors ALOT to fit on Speeds and none have ever cracked. I like Oakley because its the only visor to provide UV protection and the only visor with 0 distortion due to a patented technology.
Thanks man. I did that by going out in dusk which is about the same level of lighting on the field. I did that for the viewers. i have actually used it at night in practice on the game field and I had a lot of trouble seeing the ball.

Thanks! Glad you like the videos! Sorry man I don't really don't have old equipment as I just started playing last year. Ebay has lots of inexpensive things though.
The Nike one looks cool but I would go with Oakley because it's full on clear!
Kind of hard to explain but you place the visor face up like it is in the video, then you take a serrated knife (google it, there is one in your kitchen), and you grab the visor firmly (don't worry it won't break), then saw back and forth over the top of the visor. Each player should decide by himself...I just point out all of the differences to help you make an informed decision.
i have one on my revo 360 i love it i love how it comes with so many extras to like to change color and #'s and under armour stickers and i love how underarmor has the diferent clips WAY better!!!!

Put the visor flat on the table with the curved part upward, then take a cerrated knife and saw through the tab half way...then bend it back and forth
Because clear doesn't block the glare and darker just looks better.
You probably got the new visor with no middle tab; the one that only comes in clear. That ones has different colors but the older models with the middle tab do not.
Thanks for the support!
great videos man, thanks for your time and dedication. do you have any experience wearing mirrored visor inserts? i'm curious to see how/if the color of the mirror affects the vision. my amber insert (nike visor) turns the vision blue. it doesn't affect depth perception and it's perfect for day games, but at night under lighting is a different story. thanks again
no problem..usually high schools require clear but 60% might be light enough that's why I don't know. Plus every league has different rules.
I like em both. I use Oakley during night and Nike during the day. If I had to pick one I would pick Oakley cuz of the curvature and UV protection
No I don't have an under armor visor at this time. But I may before the fall season.
No it's not. The curvature is different, the clarity is different, the tint is different (Oakley clear is still a little mirrored), and the UV protection is different.
The video talks about the differences. Use that for whatever aspects are important to you.
My mirrored one scratched when I put my helmet in my bag. It scratched the mirrored over coat they put on the outside. I still use it during the day time though.

For anything with a tint percent it refers to the amount of light that passes thru therefore the higher the percentage the less tint there is.

They do but sometimes they have to be modified or mounted differently
Yessir that is currently in the works.
It should but I haven't tested it. Wherever you biy it from, the website will tell you.
You have to check with your local rules but I don't no any highschool league that approves anything besides clear visors. 60% sometimes works because they can still see your eyes.

Don't have to cut for 360 (my Nike tab is not cut) I don't think you have to cut for DNA either. I think it's only for the Ion 4D
Yeah I think it's a speed without the overliner. Or it could possibly be a youth helmet.
He probably has to use a cleqr visor because of restrictions so i wouls go Oakley clear since it comes with decals he can use to match his uni
I lift 3 days a week. I do agility and speed training twice a week. I do sensory training 2-3 days a week as well.
great videos...i like the way u describe in the smallest details on products... keep them coming!!
Yeah I may do one soon. You have to turn the clips upside down. Also helps if you take off the face mask. Check out my how to take apart of Revo Speed video if you need help.
I just googled it, but I'm not sure if they are still selling em.
They don't come with anti-fog spray but you really don't need it. Mine have never fogged up. You can buy anti-fog spray for motorcycle helmets if you really need it.
Yup any position that wants eye protection can.
Sure..it saves getting poked in the eye and if it is raining badly you can take it off.
Not sure...probably depends on league to league. I would ask your coach.
I wish I was good enough for the NFL lol. I play arena and semi-pro outdoor.
Thanks I hope you like them, my teams are in my channel description.
In Canada you can only have clear up until university I believe, but Oakley does have clear mirrored eye shields
I googled it...not sure if they make it anymore though. Google Nike Mirror Visor
you also have to take into account that the outdoor area isnt lit up by stadium style lighting either.. but overall great review on all your products
I bought it online but I don't think Nike makes it anymore. I may have bought the last they had in inventory.
I am a huge fan. Can you make a video about under armour, Nike, and Oakley visor review which one is better and what position would they be perfect for
I try to get back once a year at least. We're ranked 9 in the pre-season polls I think.
They are both the same tint do do u like the mirror look or the dark look.
Oakley is a better clear visor because of Oakley is the only one with UV protection and only one with zero distortion.
I wear both. One during day games and one for night games.
Do you mean is blue available to the public? Yes it is. If you are asking if I will get it, the answer is no. The blue visor is a 22% tint and most of my games are at night, so I wouldn't be able to see. A couple of my teammates have them and they don't play with them.
Orientation of the clips or how you put it on. Ion uses zip ties, Speed you have to turn the clips upside down.
Could someone explain the visor rules for youth/high school
Clear only so they can see if your eyes are diluted in case of concussions unless you have a medical papers
+MLG With TURTLE! Thank you. In high school you have to ask your coach if you want to wear a dark visor right?
Only clear
Buck_Melon it doesn’t matter you still have to in every league depending on what type of leuge some use color/dark
Protect your eyes from getting poked, reduce glare, some increase contrast to see the ball against the background, and they make u look good ;)
Its super easy...just depends on the facemask you have. Check my other vid you commented on. If your facemask is like that then look at the vid...I talk about the clips. Also check the vid on how to take a part a Speed vid to remove the facemask.
Hey man I got to say you do some really good and very in depth reviews
I was wondering if you know anything about the Adidas Visors and how they compare to the nike and oakley
I can always use help. I'm always trying to get better! You live in the area?
Check out my Oakley video where I put it on the 360. It fits on most Speeds but the clips have to be upside down.
It's not always about size. What do your coaches think?
You can do what you want but the Nike decals and Oakley decals are different shapes plus the visors are different shapes so you won't fool anyone.
All of my reviews are done after I use the products in either game or practice situations. I just tried to show you what it looks like. My coaches are not fond of me having the camera around practice like that.
I've done that already on this channel. It's called how to put on football equipment. Also be sure to subscribe to IKF Football Diairies on RUclips for even more stuff like that.
nice, i wish i had a visor in my high school season, then again that was 20 years ago, good review
I just started watching your videos last week and I love them what team do u play for?
Yes but depending on your facemask you make have to use the clips upside down.
Most likely not but you have to check. Sometimes 60% is ok
Thanks it helped me out alot on deciding now I just have to see what our league will approve
Yes they would.
Probably not. Usually you need clear.
I'm just wondering how much did you pay for your 60% gray Oakley visor, I saw the same one you have the other day for $60 at a oakley store. I've been thinking about getting one
I use them both. Nike during the day and Oakley at night.
Should I feel bad for buying a visor as a sophomore in high school?
I wish I had more time...I would definitely do a lifting blog.
Some people feel that it restricts air. I do not.
Sweet visors man, I'm a fan of the Oakley one but the Nike mirror one look's really nice. Good video.
Yes? The percentage refers to the amount of light that passes through. So 5% is the darkest you can get on cars..basically black.
Answer is in the video.
I paid $50 not including shipping. I ordered it online.
Is it legal in High School Football to wear the 60 percent Grey Oakley Visor?
By the way big fan man been watchin your vids for the longest time
I wear a stocking cap cuz the skull caps are too big since I have almost no hair.
sportsunlimitedinc and sportsdepot both have em
I'm not sure but probably depends on the league.
what one would you what one would you recomend for a DB for small fry
Yes, I get paid for pro, though not much so we all have regular day jobs.
Could be a coincidence. I bend my visors ALOT to fit on Speeds and none have ever cracked. I like Oakley because its the only visor to provide UV protection and the only visor with 0 distortion due to a patented technology.
does the oakley or nike visor fit better on the speed?
Yeah. A skills absorbs sweat. Check out my vid on how to put on football equipment. I talk about it there.
I wear both of mine but if I could only have one I would wear Oakley. I wish Oakley had a mirror visor like the Nike one.
If I couldn't have two visors yes I would go with oakley. I use my Nike during the day and my Oakley at night.
No problem. I don't wear the inserts.
I don't have a Speed, I have a 360. Check out my helmet and facemask review as to why I wear the facemask I do.
