Just outside San Diego, one dance program is using sport to help poverty-stricken families take a step beyond their current circumstance.
A Step Beyond pledges a ten-year commitment to every dancer who joins the initiative, serving in-need children with after-school dance classes, academic support and social services, including emergency food and housing assistance. Today, the program positively impacts more than 300 kids, and it’s eager to touch the lives of many more.
To celebrate our 75th anniversary, the DICK’S Foundation is honored to award @a.step.beyond with $75,000 to help the program continue to show how #SportsChangeLives
