condition 2 : when temperature of sink is reduced by 65K then, η(efficiency of engine ) = 1/3
e.g, 1/3 = 1 - (T₂ - 65)/T₁ -----------(2)
solve equations (1) and (2)
2(1 - T₂/T₁) = 1 - (T₂ - 65)/T₁
2 - 1 = 2T₂/T₁ - (T₂ - 65)/T₁ = (T₂ + 65)/T₁
T₁ = T₂ + 65
Put it in equation (1)
1/6 = 1 - T₂/(T₂ + 65)
1/6 = (65)/(T₂ + 65)
T₂ + 65 = 390 ⇒ T₂ = 325K or 52°C
Conclusion : its 65k and not 65°C

Sir why we didn't take -ve sign with work in adibatic compression as well as in isothermal comprression???
Hi, in isothermal compression as the volume decreases, according to sign convention the work should be negative. As V final is lesser than V inital the log term would be lesser than 1 and hence negative. So theres no need to keep an extra negative sign. In adiabatic compression, the final temperature is greater than the initial temperature but as 1- gamma would come as negative, the whole term would be negative. So no need for negative sign again.
