Hainanese chicken rice usually cooked with chicken fats, chicken broth, pandan and if you wanna make it extra nice and flavour, add margarine as well! When nicely cooked, the aroma is very very similar to nasi leman but prettier for sure because of golden yellowish colour.
So glad you and the wifey enjoy chicken rice. In Singapore we usually just use utensils when eating the dish. Usually only Muslims and some Indians will use their hands, but either way it's still a universal way to eat and I'm all for it. I really wish you and the wife would visit Singapore/Malaysia sometime and experience all the amazing foods we have. Authentic Singaporean and Malaysian Hawker food is really to die for and I'm sure it would be a great series of videos to watch!! Hit me up if you need more info Quang (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧
Most of us Indians use our hands. Go to any hotel or home and u will see majority eating with our Hands (Usually the right hand) Very few percentage of the ppl use fork/spoon on a daily basis. Why use utensils to eat with when we have hands? Also it's proven that it's good for the gut when we eat with our hands. The pleasure of eating is also multiplied. Especially when the food is hot. We obv wash our hands well before and after we eat.
I want to see your wife eat her favorite foods. But ones that you cook for her. Your take on it. Do it up like you do. See if you can trump her favorite spots and make you her favorite cook for her favorite foods!!!
I wonder why most of the videos are takeout, go to the restaurant homie! Saigon is an incredible city, I'm sure your viewers would like to see more of it. Maybe you don't drive motorbike but between Grab/Gojek/Be it's so cheap and easy to get around.
