Glad you found it. Maybe a little more work, but once you get use to it, it will go fast. Once I had a large one with 13 colors, took longer than the other intarsia pictures on sweater fronts but it looked nice when done. Start out small and work up as you get use to it. Berda
Actually on the Brother machines, even the KH260 as I used can be done with 24 sts wide and doing the Single Motif way. Now the SK155 does not have that option. I was showing this more of how to work out Intarsia on a machine with no intarsia carriage. Now the electronic brother machines as well as some of the Studio type electronic machines, doing the Single Motif can be wider than the 24 sts, but you need to also wrap another strand of your MY on the sides to stop the holes from happening.
I am sure anything is possible, if you can see the needles between the sinker plate, then go for it. I don't consider myself an expert, I just know allot of machine knitting. I don't know what gave you that conception. Now Cheryl Brunette shows how to do that on the Bond machines but that carriage is much simpler to use. I would like to know if you are successful with it. Even though I am using a metal bed machine, what I show in this video is how I did intarsia on the KX350.
CleverEwe This is the way I have done intarsia for years before my first metal bed machine. The machine I am using in this video can work intarsia easier with the intarsia carriage. But if one doens't have that, they can still do it, just a little more work is all. Berda
Hello Roberta I love your videos and have learned so much I'm about to make a blanket as a gift and would like to have the child's name as part of the design please could you make a video on how to do this my design is a blue blanket with the name JOE in white in the middle I'm just not sure how to do it Ryan
If you had not seen them yet, I just uploaded 3 new videos of putting the name Joe on a knitted fabric. Intarsia would be the way you want the colors but then maybe you may want to think of reforming the name also, no added 2nd color and then weaving in the ends. ruclips.net/video/HE951zWFiwo/видео.html ruclips.net/video/7_ba73fsybk/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Azgqw6nt6ro/видео.html Hope one of them helps, Berda
