  • UPDATE: I have been told that the IRA points on MRP are incorrect. These races were show up points only for the full time IRA drivers. Jake Blackhurst is still the points leader.

YeS or Circle CIty, bring it north we still have a few Tracks up here, we might not have montpielier currently and gas city might be gone but we have still a few dirt tracks up here, and there are still many fans of winged racing, I liked it though with or without the big names like my boy sunshine tyler courtney but you still had some big names from the region like the many usac guys, and some from the other regionals that also run the big nationals a few times a year, I would not mind putting money down and going to see them, if the option came up close enough but I cant always drive 3 hours to get to a track alone, I think though it had a great turnout of drivers surprised there were not more in the stands there should have been

IRA regulars are the core of what racing is all about. Small budget family owned racing teams just doing what they love and typically very good competition between them. Was a cool week and happy they did it. They have a trip to Minnesota and then 2 nights at Grand Forks in July that should be a great show as well that last year pulled over 30+ every night and it was going on during the million.

There needs to be at least one big track. Terre Haute may as well be it. But then, I like big tracks.

Bloomington and Haubstadt had decent crowds but not like a USAC crowd, maybe 75% of that. Putnamville and Terre Haute were pretty deserted. Haubstadts track prep was was very long and over done. And was definitely a talk being had in the pits and grandstands with 1 more night to go. And traveling back to the eastern time zone for Terre Haute. We didnt get home until 330 after it. Terre Haute was actually a decent race for a wing race. Courtney got stuck in lapped traffic with 12 to go and Gass tracked him down. It was a please stay green moment and the caution flew. Not sure why that wasnt on the replay. But I agree the racing is normally not that good there with wings and Indiana bullrings are best. Temps also being miserably hot in the mid 90s didnt help matters. Overall I was dissapointed with Indiana fans for not showing up. And super grateful to the amount of drivers who came out and supported. We even gave out a $50 hard luck award each night during our post race pit walk to try to support. And bought merch off all drivers who hauled their merch stands. It was a great 4 nights and I hope it happens again.

3 of the 4 tracks being owned by the same promoter as Maverick certainly played a factor in which tracks were on the schedule. We’ll see if proof of concept sells it outside of the spiker promotions group next year.

I was at Putnamville. The racing was great. Somehow the word just has to get out. Indiana is a little non-wing biased, but the number of familiar names should be able to attract crowds.

I think temperatures had something to do with spectator counts low to mid 90’s through the week setting in a metal grandstand is tuff to draw much of a crowd

HL drivers winning in different events around the country is good for HL. Drivers getting more exposure in different series make more people follow them. Woo keeps there drivers sitting at home.

It was great racing. But fans did not support it. If i was the promoter, why do it again.? I live about 10 hours away from Indiana tracks. Or I would of went to at least one if not two. As it is, I watched them all on Flo

Like I said at the end. You have to start somewhere with events/weeks like this. I have a feeling a lot of fans expected 25 car fields with not many stars. They were wrong

@@TheRaudmanRundown to be honest ,TV video can be decieving , but Terre Haute actually looked like the best crowd of the series

The camera angle at Terre Haute was horrible! Hopefully the USAC races there have a different camera angle.

Courtney is on fire lately. Can't wait for the next few High Limit races to see him, Brad, Rico and others battle it out.

Not making any excuses, but when it’s 90 plus degrees and a work night it’s tough to draw. I watched every night on flow and thought it was great racing. They do need to do a better job of running the shows more efficiently and quicker. There is no reason to start a feature at 9:30 or 10 pm. Most people do work for a living.

I will agree on the heat. Also did notice that Putnamville took forever for the show to start.

Agreed on the last night. I don't get the least bit excited for ANY half-mile sprint races. Haubstadt is one of my favorite stops in the country. Bull rings are tailor-made for exciting 410 races. Half miles are a snooze fest.

100% agree. Eldora has some good races but generally not a fan of the 1/2 mile tracks. Occasional side by side but typically to spread out

They always do that amount of track rework at Haubstadt. It’s just what they do there and everyone just kinda knows that going in.
