      Especially because that's nonsense. I live in a city full of Democrats (and I am one) - and we want nothing more than more more police presence, stiffer punishments, and less nonsense like this. The VAST majority of Democrats are police supporters. Sure there are a vocal few who aren't. There are also plenty of Republicans who don't support the police, usually for different reasons. Think the "Montana compound, government get off my back" types. I seriously think that this country is going to fall apart if we don't cut this Dem vs. Rep rhetoric and recognize that we have SO much in common. Each side thinks the country is going to hell because of the other side, but it's really because we've stopped trying to find common ground.

      Suing dad for what his kid did isn’t that simple. The laws vary from state to state, but in general, getting $$ out of a parent would require evidence that the parent’s actions made or allowed the kid to do the damage. Sounds like the dad here is trying to keep this wild child on the right path, but who knows what the facts really are.

      I’ve been to jail, as a skinny white kid in Memphis tn multiple times, and I’ll tell you I was more afraid of my dad finding out then I was of jail. I had a lot of issues with addiction and stuff when I was younger but a strong relentless father figure is like 75% of the reason I’m a clean well rounded father myself now.

My first thought was "ship him off to boot camp or something, teach him how to behave". I'm not a father, but if I did I'd be furious if my future child hit an old man, stole, deliberately damaged property and had multiple run-ins with the law.       That's where Ezekiel's "Contributing to the delinquency of a minor" charge came in. So she was the age of 17(?) or below. Maybe Department of Juvenile Justice or some other program dealt with her hopefully. The police likely talked with her and her dad during the time of this video, but they didn't include it in the video due to her being a minor.

I really caution against blaming parents for the behavior of their grown (or nearly grown) kids. People grow up and they make their own decisions in life.     the dad doesn't have nor ever did have a firm enough hand with the kid, never heard no as a child. You can't treat young children as equals and ask for their input, this is what you get, seen it a hundred times. Children need barriers and borders, and need to understand when they cross them

      In this video, dad gives no excuse for sons bad behavior. Disprove schizophrenia as a potential excuse. Fully cooperates with police officers handing the kid consequences for his actions. What did you expect? If the dad is comfortable with kid getting consequences, then why are we not blaming mom or the culture? What would you have done differently here?

    Knew a kid just like that back in school 50 years ago. Didnt want anything to do with him. He was convicted of murder and was exacuted at ASP back in the late 90s. Glad I didn't take the same path he did.
