I can't thank you guys enough. I had a new WD External Die on me. It was unreadable and I tried everything to get it to work. I found this program and hooked my external drive up as a secondary drive on my computer. I ran the default settings after watching this video. It was all very straight forward. I had about 1.2 TB of files and it took about 9-10 hours to complete. I had a couple errors at the beginning of the scan, but just ignored them. I know have my files back! I definitely recommend!
I bought it and it worked fine, all my data back. I email the support team. They said that people who were unable to copy files that are found are possibly using pirate software.
@mykhalis2 Your using a pirated copy as well. If you did not purchase your own copy, then it is stolen. Stolen keys do not allow you to copy the data. We keep track of these keys and log them into the software, that way they do not work.
This software looks interesting. But does it copy the files loose to a recovery drive or does it keep the file structure intact. In your example you click on the top file does it copy all the file structure as seen on the screen?

So I used Hiren's Boot CD to mark it as active. After restarting my laptop it said no boot devices found, because the whole windows boot manager was missing from the startup options within the BIOS. After that I tried using getdataback and it gave me all kinds of errors that there is an unknown file system. I ignored it and continued the ntfs quick scan. After the scan completed it found 0 files! While booting a S.M.A.R.T. error shows up stating that the drive is bad and that it needs to be replaced.. Seems like there isn't much I can do now...
I had 75% of my 2nd fat 32 drive corrupted. The computer indicated the 2nd drive in odd lettering with boxes, and most files had the same. It had win 98, which I didn't use. I thought loading XP would fix it, bad idea. WinXP said FAT 32 corrupted. WinXP deleted. I installed WIN XP, then the 90% full drive showed 90% free, all files disappeared. I used GETDATABACk, and I recovered about 90% of the files. I don't know how it did it since the drive no longer showed the files but it did.
Thanks to Runtime software who gave me authorization to make a original portuguese version. Now more then 130.000 people have watched the my brazilian version.
I know this is old, but I recovered a file full of photos. Everything was fine, I then recovered another folder and when I go see the images I had just recovered. They are all Broken, none of them open. I get a message saying this file isn’t supported help
@downight Buy the software, do not use a pirated key, these keys do not allow you to save your data. If you want to complain about not being able to use the software correctly, be sure you have purchased the software yourself.
I made a mistake I clicked on computer / manage / disk management and I took deleted the simple volume . and all things on my extern hdd disappeared And I had very important documentation and images on that can i get it back with this program?? im not a computer geek so i really dont know:/
Used getdataback for NTFS and it did recover my files, it was mostly movies and songs, and even though all data still has exactly the same memory as did the original every single one out of 300GB is damaged or just can't be opened. :(

My experience: works ok on a logical drive, but only seems to recover system files on RAID5 image created from RAID re-constructor - I connected via USB, so I guess that is the issue, or it doesn't like RAID recovery.

Can this program repair my raid (2x disc, raid 0 settings) ? I have not done anything to my damaged raid but it shows in windows 7 as unallocated volume. I think its possible to extract data from my partition (with other programs as well), but is it also possible to restore my partition? Cause that will save me alot of time :)

GREAT PRODUCT! Saved me thousands of dollars with going to an expensive data recovery company. I was able to extract certain files (for backup) and created an image of the disk. Any recommended way to take this image file from the saved HDD and load it onto a new HDD?

how do i reconstruct recovered files from different hds, not reconstruct hds, meaning merge the files

I assume you'll need an image of the RAID0 instead of just scanning a single, physical drive since half the data is on the other physical drive
