The Citizen Eco-Drive "Daytona" Chronograph - A Classic Racing Style Watch On A Budget!

- Hey there everyone!
Today we are taking a look at the new racing chronograph models from Citizen.
Thanks to our friends @ Starbuy.com.au, we have two colourways to show you, these being the Ivory Dial Version - Ref CA4559-13A & the Black Dial Version - Ref CA4558-16E
Both watches feature a mineral crystal, 43mm stainless steel case & an aluminium bezel. The watch is water resistant to 100m & has the calibre B620 eco-drive chronograph movement.

Overall, I found both watches to be great budget chronographs with nice styling & a low-maintenance movement that will service you well for years & years....It's also worth noting that Citizen Australia gives you a 5 year warranty on the watch!!

I absolutely adore the ivory face, Citizen goes from strength to strength and continues to beat Seiko in the quality control department in my opinion. I think the fact that 'assembled in China' is just a sticker, (not engraved) is so that the watch meets local import requirements for origin but is designed to be peeled off and thrown away at the first opportunity. They are both awesome dials to look at and I truly love the Eco Drive Solar movement these watches contain that really lasts and lasts with no fuss. Another great review my friend and another conundrum; white and black or black and white.....
The ivory dial is lovely. They give more Breitling Navitimer vibes imo but I see where you're coming from with the Daytona. May have to add this to the collection.

Hi. Thanks for the review. How is this a racing chronograph? I'd suggest it's more of a field chrono given that it's incorporating a telemeter instead of a tachymeter and there's a compass heading bezel on there. Nice looking piece though.
Thanks for showing these to us. I really need to pay more attention to Citizen. And I also do like the Ivory better. Probably because it looks more like the Dayton. I’m such a simpleton…

is it possible to change the bezel & where can i buy the bezel replacement? Mine is the ivory dial & the bezel look like plastic
