How it this a hack, when your motor comes with an external tank hook up?

it is a hack because the official connector to the motor does not properly fit 😞
he had to grind off some robber from the connector to fit the matching indentation in the engine.
I hate stuff like that. they are selling it as a fitting spare part but it needs filing, oh well.
I have to do exactly what he did.

Unsure, my susuki outboard is a 6HP 4 stroke and the manual is marked DF4/DF6 I reckon they’re the same build just different sizes
