Hola. Me puedes. Regalar. Una. Mascota. Porfa
Awesome. The kid just gets gifted an A2000 for being in the right place at the right time.
That Rawlings is an AWESOME glove for kids… the notch REALLY helps. It’s not made for adults.
That’s true, I should have given more credit to be honest. My brain is focused on durability
@@ballglovekingDurability is no issue, I still have one and haven’t caught in over 10 years…😂
Played catcher since I can remember. I’m not sure how it is now but the all star pro elite was hands down the best glove I ever used behind the dish.
As a catcher the only glove that comes with a deep pocket brand new are Japanese catchers mitts all other brands you have to deepen the pocket on your on by break in and just pure use of the mitt
Any recommendations?
I’v used the renegade during two season. I was 13 and 14. And it worked perfectly for me. Hardest pitch I caught was like 70 mph though.
Chris, would the Gamer XLE or the Mizuno be suitable for me to catch softball pitches from my daughter?
I have a 34 inch under armour catchers glove and i love that thing. Super durable feels great and was an easy break in, aswell as being only 200 australian dollars(not sure what that is in usd)
Still weird that under armor made some gloves
is the r9 good for box break in if you go two in the ring finger ?
i got a 44 c2 with code for $140 its was still and very well made. I think it would have came in second behind the A2000
Dang that’s solid
Hola!
I hope I review your glove one day man!!
Keep working hard and I will
My two gamers for college are my old Easton Flagship, had it for 4 years now, still rocking, then my “backup” is the Easton Professional Kip, still debating which I’ll end up gaming, but both were under $200 and blow away any Rawlings or Wilson mitt I’ve used
The Easton Professional series is insanely good quality and no one cares for some reason!
The gray catchers glove is fire 🔥
Jack is my favorite human ever!! He is now my background!!
Yuh
Yo what😂
Excellent premise. If you can dig up a NOS Rawlings with the metal eyelets. My 8 year old used a crap a360 this past year. He has a nokona, and I bought a NOS $23 piazza 32 for him, and there is nothing like those late 90’s Rawlings mitts. Built like tanks.
Tanks indeed!
What is the model number of the Piazza glove you bought? I've got a much older Rawlings mitt from the 80s or possibly even the 70s and I will never have that tank broken in
My son turns 13 at the end of the month. He started catching FT 2 years ago. We started with a Renegade but had the small pocket issue.
We upgraded him to a Wilson A1000 and he loves it. Perfect pocket, break in was painless (box break in) and quality materials.
He'll likely move to an A2000 or HOH when he moves up to 15U
thats awesome! I'm a big fan of the a1000 for those younger guys!
I got a brand new catchers mitt in the early 90s and it was hard to close and in 90s money was probably equivalent to the $150 gloves. Once I played catcher on a regular basis was when I able to loosen the glove.
Is it oke to use baseball catcher mitt to play as catcher in fastpitch softball??
any glove suggestion for a glove that is XXL for my hand to fit in?
Jack is my favorite human being ever!
I used to oil my gloves and put them in the oven as kid. Helped really break them in. I have a Mizzuno mitt from the 1990’s, no idea the model number but it’s built like a tank and held up over 30 years. Kinda resembles the MZP-20 pro just off pictures I’ve seen.
When I played I used Wilson a2000 or Rawlings pro preferred with 2 in the pinky. Preferred the Rawlings because they were a little softer and had better feel in my opinion but my transfers were quicker with the Wilson and I didn't seem to get thumbed as much. Mizuno and all-stars felt too big and deep. Love the videos! Hope this helps someone.
I have the all star pro elite and I love it, would’ve thought the other one would have performed better
Is the Marruci Acadia Series tan catchers mitt a good glove for $110?
Do you think you could fix a bad break in on a HOH catchers mitt? Closes thumb to middle with a crease and almost no pocket. Ball pinches out and pops out.
What glove was your dad using? I’m a leftie catcher 13 u and I need a new glove bc I got a old 80 dollar Rawlings glove
I have the all star tan glove you were talking about once you break it in and adjust it to your hand it is pretty nice. But it has like 3000 catches on it and hasn’t broke
Those gloves are so sick
The Renegade comes in larger sizes. 32.5” is great for kids.
R9 is great transition mitt for middle school kids instead of spending so much to repeat once high-school! Son used it form 9 to 14 then past two yeara HOH (34)! Will have him either Allstar 3000 (black) or HOH 33 by emd of this year so it be broke in for his Jr year!
i had the rawlings glove as an emergency mitt for summer ball my senior year and after using it for 1 tourney the actual web and leather began to rip before the laces gave way
yeah if the laces are tough the cheaper leather will start to rip haha that sucks!
The sandlot and premium series catchers mitts are solid
BGK - gotta tell you, after your gamer xle review for the IF glove, we bought one, and the red/black gamer xle catchers mitt (different colorway, same mitt). Noticed the same performance as you, felt great quality but a shallow pocket and a lot of pop outs. Breaking it in has helped. BUT a HUGE problem - the soft side of the velcro failed before it ever saw game use! Now, i warned my 13yo about NOT pulling and placing the strap alot to avoid wear, and he really left it alone. Didnt matter, the soft side is CHEAP and THIN. I ended up stitching in a replacement panel on a four month old glove. So disappointed. I think this is a deal breaker for an otherwise quality mitt.
i use the r9 as a catcher i think it is a good glove but i always go shifted with top down if u get one i recommend getting new laces if u are catching heat
I have had 2 softball catchers in my family. Wilson cheaper gloves have worked great for starting out with small hands. Rawlings highlight is a step up. Not gonna be durable but light for small catcher. She has an R9 fielding glove and if she sticks with it wants a GG elite catchers mitt.
Wilson is great for those small hands for sure, definitely a good plan you have going too!
I’ll say this I feel Rawlings is the OG high end glove maker, and Wilson is a close second and mizuno has caught up a lot in the past few years and now they are pretty comparable. But the custumability that you get with Rawlings is awesome I mean you can customize every single inch of your glove.
Customizing small brands is kinda crazy tbh. You can actually change everything whereas mainstream brands let you change MOST. Both are awesome though
@@ballgloveking I’ll be honest I haven’t needed a glove in so long I wouldn’t know, but I think customizing it is half the battle now days, I know forsure if a glove company offered that when I was playing that’s what I’d want.
Try a NAKONA then. They been killing it for years in terms of quality.
Expensive without question but worth every dime hands down
Dedicated rawlings sandlot review? Btw I use a 44 pro pro 44 infield 11.75 one piece web im just wondering what you would think of the sandlot I have used a Rawlings play prefferd which is the same price as the sandlot but is more of a slow pitch glove the pocket is 2 deep i used it as a cheap backup glove but I want to see if I should give it to my dad and buy a Rawlings sandlot (my dad uses a 1980s cal Ripken glove model he’s looking into a new glove he probably won’t buy one so I want to see a review of the sandlot because honestly your reviews are the best on RUclips for glove things
Thanks bro!
I will say the sandlot is a great dad glove. I won’t be able to review it anytime soon though. Sorry man!
Sorry I didn’t make my response clear but I’m at dicks right now and surprisingly they have a sandlot just bought it for 80 it feels way better then I thought it would be when I get home I’ll start my break in I’ve already started the break in brought my mallet in the car but yea btw dicks had the stiffest feeling none broken in gg elite it was stiffer then another one which had the exact same specs what’s that about… for 80 bucks it’s probably going to be a better back up glove I’m confused on which pattern it is but it’s a pretty good feeling pattern (I keep updating this comment btw)
Should try the force three pro catchers mitt. Its kinda expensive but feels really good so far. Up there with my a2000
Someone else suggested that too 🤔
I think it’s time to see a Warstic IK3 series Japanese Kip fielding gloves. 🧤
I’ve seen those around so maybe just maybe
My dad used to catch, he’s is obsessed with catchers mitts. I have a Wilson 360, and a team nokona. But he gets old gloves off eBay that are like brand new, maybe just have sharpie on it. I got a terry steinbach wilson I am moving to now. But we are breaking in a rcm 32.5 Piazza that was new old stock too. Wilson’s pockets aren’t as deep as Rawlings. But they’re a lot more broken in when new. The Rawlings takes real work. The Wilson’s take 15 mins.
Were there no budget wilson gloves available
Thank for the new vid we need more uploads
Truuuueee
My son is 8 and he currently uses a 31.5 inch. Anything above that falls off of his hand, but alot of balls pop out of the glove because the pocket is so small
I need a 1st base mitt for slowpitch softball. Any info on that... or even better, any videos?
That's a tough one bro! I'd say go with a Rawlings DCT cause its pretty dang deep. You really just need the deepest glove possible! But my first thought is a Rawlings DCT and go two in the pinky
@@ballgloveking Thanks King for getting back to me. I switched over to 1st to give my elbow a break while doing Physical Therapy. I actually got the DCT in the GG elite variant second hand. Great glove, but the glove is getting to floppy for me. Just wanted your opinion before I spend big money on a new mitt. Thanks again
I am an old guy but I used to love Nokona
A2403 is my all time fav
I have the $60 one and I have used it like 3 days a week for a year and it has worked just fine
that's awesome
Yo, Chris can you please do a review on the Wilson Tim Anderson 3 in the pinky?
Not anytime soon my man sorry but who knows maybe down the road
Alr!
Yo Chris I have a Wilson without anything on the finger like a2000 or a2k so do you think you could help me? Thanks
Also jack is my favorite human ever
Hmmm try DMing me over insta so I can see some pics
@@ballgloveking how about email? I don’t have that
Is a gold glove elite 33 catchers mitt a good glove for 16u
Not bad. That’s sort of a middle of the road glove. Not great but not bad
You should try the Rawlings sandlot series catchers glove
It’s my gamer it’s so nice
A2k vs heart of the hide i have been trying to find a video talking about that online and i dont see one and i love your videos and watch them as close to the release date as possible
Hey think you would a review on all star catchers mitt maybe the black one. Love the content though!!
So i reviewed the black and blonde one and all is the same except the all black is a little more durable. I definitely love that glove
Can you review the all star top star catchers mitt pls
so i need a new catchers glove im still decideding if i go A2K or A2000 what should i do
I genuinely do not like the A2000
The A2K is a better glove by a lot imo
@@ballgloveking awesome thank you so much this is the second time you've replied to one of my comments 😂
@@ballgloveking and whats the best brand for catchers gloves in ur opinion
The $60 glive, passed your test, but it seems you were determined to not like it. It wasnt falling apart, it surprised you, so you tossed it.
I agree
Can u do the with regular gloves like infield gloves for 40 dollars
Jack is my favorite human being ever
Love it 👍
Are the SSK 100 dollar catcher gloves worth the price
Supreme x rawlings catchers chest guard casually in the background
Review the cm43 from rawlings in a 34 please
you should do a video on a rawlings GG elite catchers glove
Jack is my favorite human being ever.
Also I need to know what those pants are that you’re wearing 😅
New Balance lol they are great for looking like you’re wearing nice pants but you’re actually not
You should review the easton pro elite modelits only 150
What store is that where you bought the gloves?
Play it again
Oh ok thanks! Love your vids
Awesome video. Next time dive deeper into the A2K mitt
I was thinking about it but I plan on filming with it again soon plus another All Star that isn’t a cheap one! It’ll be a great video 👌
Agree on the All Star @14:50
I bought one to break in for my little league kids because of all the trash the local little league hands out. It took a long time to get it game worthy (I considered a plus). The leather felt good IMO. But I do agree 100% on the thumb loop. I bought a GloveLock which made it slightly more reliable. The single lace is not a good look at all though. You can't take it serious with that.
valuable info thanks man!
Hopefully they can make those small changes for a big overall impact
my boys used Indian catchers mitt and loved them.
Key. Stiff thumb and pinky pads when catching high velo. Prevent broken thumbs.
Me no likey broken thumb
should've looked at the All Star Top Star instead of the CM3200. Same price point, but think it would remedy much of your complaints with the All Star.
dang I missed out
FORCE3 ELITE SERIES CATCHER'S MITT and Jack is my favorite human ever!
I’ll look into that one also….. GO JACK
He only has 85 k subscribers and he is doing it this well
13:25 at this part the ball he caught went into the other glove
You should put first base gloves on the glove list
Do a first baseman mit if u haven't yet
11:51 kid absolutely barreled that thing
Yeah that landed upper deck
Two in the pink, best way to get a bigger pocket
The weekend before I went to Arizona my catchers glove’s laces broke and then I brushed my forearm bone
Thanks for giving the kid that glove
You guys are the reason I have em, so it only makes sense
im back ,and jack is the greatest human being ever

It’s so funny that Rawlings couldn’t splurge the extra $0.08 for the better patch lol
Yeah I wonder how much those actually cost 🤔
Could you do a 1st base video?
Yes dude!
We have one soon, just wait a few weeks!
Rawlings R9 is the best budget catchers mitt on the market.
Unless I was catching a knuckleballer, smaller was better for me.....Raulings....Heart of The Hyde!
Jack is my favorite humon ever
My son’s first catchers glove was that Rawlings.. got it broken in a Dicks and it’s worked fine for a 9 year old
Good!
I don't intend to make the glove sound like trash. I only mean that there are better gloves out there at the same price range
@@ballgloveking I meant today that it’s a good glove for a younger catcher..
Need to get you a Bradley.
Still never held one of those
Lol that $60 one is the one I have😂

It’s coming back!
Just making some major changes to our website

Balls kept popping out but "The $400 Wilson A2k is the winner!"
Balls stayed in the pocket but "The $60 Rawlings glove is the loser!"
"It catches great, it feels great but it looks cheap" so the Allstar CM3.2k is the loser.
i’ve learned that more expensive mitt’s are just night in day in my opinion
Real question is is it worth paying $400 instead of $300
