I'm a dual US-Russian citizen. I've been living in the US for the past 20 years or so and I know both the US and the ex-soviet block cultures pretty well. Personally, I don't like russian-speaking/ ex-soviet girls: russian, ukrainian, Belarusian, Moldovan. They are not friendly, and (let's be honest) most of them are just trying to take advantage of those naive European and American men to get the papers and be able to move to a first-world country and then divorce them once they get residency there.
USA is hardly a first-world country anymore. So many of the European countries that used to belong to the so called eastern block have surpassed USA long time ago in recent years. Countries like Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Estonia and Slovenia have already WAY better standard of living for the average Joe than anywhere in the USA and the trend is continuing to be so.
