I worry about Ukraine because NATO officers are promoted based on politics and their connections, which results in incompetent failures being promoted to the top. They never punish failure and incompetence.

I've listened to most of his talks and seems you either didn't or it went very far above your head. He hasn't predicted anything in particular about counteroffensive as far as i know, just analysed scenarios. That's why he's an analyst. If you have an example to contrary, drop the link here (or title if links are disabled), as sure as hell it's still on YT.

1. Russia is ok with Ukraine joining EU but EU will never let Ukraine in because corruption and agroculture competition. (Whenever UA grains enter EU you there are protests, the highest customs tariffs were for UA milk, meat, grains, potato etc...)
2. UA will never enter NATO, due to its territorial integrity, and risks it brings. UA could never fulfill NATO standards and got approval from every single state.
Gen. Hodges is one of the few people that is able to present information and ideas in a clear, concise and comprehensive way. He looks at the big picture, and provides detail and insight into the strategic risks and solutions. He should be the US Secretary of Defense, or dare I suggest, President.
Hodges has the privilege of being able to support a much harder push against Putin than does an elected official. The US president has to move more cautiously in order to not scare the general voting public.

Ben is one of the best commentators, it isn't his fault if weapon deliveries have been held up. Please remember that Ben does not have a Magic Wand. War is a little bit like moving wallpaper. Please give him some credit?
Hodges advocated for rapid supply early on. He has been critical of America's self-deterrence and failure to commit to Ukrainian victory in defending itself.

I've always hated the military industrial complex, but this is where we are 😓 One thing I've realised over the past two and half years is that I want Ukraine to win and be free much more than I could ever hate the military industrial complex.💙💛

I could agree to the most of what's said here, apart from Military Industrial Complex. Such a thing, in original meaning ("Congressional Military Industrial Complex") doesn't exist in US since at latest the '80s. The latter has different implications from what you might think though. Anyway, US have military industry, composed from many parts and companies, which is intertwined with aerospace and other industries, but not a centralised or hugely profitable "complex" (meaning goverment controlled system with particular benefits), in contrast to dictatorships like Russia, N.Korea, China, Iran, etc.
That's why the latter are projecting this outdated image on US or NATO to confuse westerners with covert propaganda against their military industry. It's a psyop (accuse enemy on what you're doing or cause dissent) and i will link the proof below, if this chanell allows links.

First, we have to give Biden (or a Democratic replacement) elected. If Trump gets in he is highly likely to f..k Ukraine for his buddy Putin. Once it's clear that Democrats will control the White house until 2029 then the US can be a lot more bold.

@@LacRagem Don't use GPS. Use ground imagery and AI target selection.
For example. If you want to strike a refinery inside Russia install a series of images that the drone can use to find its way to the target. Give it an image of the target and an image of where you want it to strike on the target.
And create smart hunter-drones. Send drones in a chosen direction, instruct them to fly for X minutes, then look for a target. Some would hunt tanks and other large weapon systems. Some would hunt infantry.
Hysterical. Thank goodness I can turn the playback speed up. Nato should forget about ever operating subs out of Sevastopol. Its just not going to happen. And it was never important to regular americans anyway. We all know that the pentagon has enough overseas naval bases and doesn't need another one no matter how awesome it is.
On the question of innovation and how smart Ukrainians are, I remember listening to a podcast with an American author, Larry Hancock, who has written book son the Vietnam War and the JFK assassination etc, he is also well versed with the Soviet period due to his Vietnam war research. Ok, so on this podcast I heard a couple of years ago, I clearly remember he said that in Soviet times Ukraine was like the Silicon Valley of the USSR, not because of computers (Soviet computers were all copies of American designs and CPU's), what he meant was all the smartest innovators and most innovative industrial and tech was in, or from the the Ukrainian SSR. I think this fits in well with your assertion Volodymyr! S.P. Korolyov comes to mind straight away, for instance. 🚀
Considering the fact that after gaining independence Ukrainian industrial capacities collapsed, we can assume that the Soviet era prosperity of the Ukrainian had been due to Russia's subsidies and invenstment. Korolyov was born in the Russian empire. His daughter's book "Father" give an curious insight into his personality. He didn't speak Ukrainian at all and all his letters to his mom were in Russian.

@@UkraineWorld Its not Ukrainian technological progress. All weapons are produced, programmed, mantained and guided by NATO through satellites. Ukrainians are needed as drivers for atamacs which are operated remotely from nato headquaters.
@@Truffle_Young_Jr Well considering Ukrainian language was banned in those times of the russian Empire, that's why. Also on all his papers he put Ukrainian as his nationality. He was born in Zhitomir, Ukraine. I have visited the Korolyov home there and also the space museum across the road. I thourughly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhitomir!
34:19 I wonder if Russia is considering the use of nuclear weapons as a way to save Russian military casualties in the future, and the idea of ending the conflict sooner? The similar thought processes the U.S. used for bringing an end to war against Imperialist Japan in 1945?
I want to know how much of Russia's air defense is left. It looks like they have moved most of their systems to and inside the Ukraine border. And Ukraine is being successful at destroying their systems that are in the field. Apparently the most advanced Russian fighter jets are not advanced enough to be effective against the best Western gear. F-16s will probably make it hard to impossible for Russia to continue using glide bombs. Without the ability to strike Ukrainian fighter jets Russia could quickly lose the missile launch systems that are remaining.
If this is true, and assuming Putin knows this, how much longer is Russia likely to keep on course?
good point. We need to use Russia's strength as its weakness. Russia's huge territory is its strength, but it is also its weakness - bcs air defence cannot cover all, and Ukrainians are destroying even this

And that our allies must learn too. In all likelihood the Russians are going to build on what they've learned as well, so if we don't do something about this right now, we are going to be way behind.
Russia is a cooked goose. They have lost huge amounts of war equipment and, even if they had the skills and money, it would take them a decade or so to rebuild. Their economy is screwed. They've lost many of their best and brightest and will have major problems getting western companies to set up inside Russia for the next several years. And Russia is moving into a population semi-collapse. Their birth rates are low and falling. They will have trouble finding soldiers to feed into a new war.

The Houthis have also learned from the Ukrainians, and there is nothing that the USN can do to stop them from firing their missiles and sinking ships in the Red Sea.

USN (and other navies) have been able to stop Houthis missiles and drones. If necessary there could be a return to an old WW1 tactic, escorted convoys.

Russia's reasons for fighting are complete BS and many of them know it, Ukraine is fighting for their existence and sovereignty. They are much more motivated and better equipped and trained which is part of the reason why they are outkilling the invading Russians 6:1. How many Russian casualties do you find unacceptable? 1 million? 2 million? 10 million? Russia is facing demographic collapse, so now they are making it illegal to be a childless woman.

When Ben, in each interview, says that “we should give credit to Biden and the Administration,” I understand the message. Ben criticizes Biden and the Administration, but wants to encourage them to do more. But I have a question: does it work as an encouragement to do more or the opposite? “We are cowards, cynics, traitors, and liars, but look - in the authoritative public opinion, such as Ben Hodges, Ukraine, and the world should thank and give us credit. We can ignore a little criticism since, overall, we should be credited.” Why not just say how things are? The US has been lying and betraying Ukraine at every corner since 1991. Out of two extremes of evils, the destruction of Ukraine or the defeat of Russia, the US will pick the first one in a second w/o a second thought. The US has blackmailed and forced Ukraine to give up the only deterrent of war - nuclear arms…to Russia! The US has been blocking Ukraine’s aspirations to join NATO to prevent this war. The US promised and lied about Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. While blocking the F-16 to Ukraine and stripping defenses off of 31 Abrams, the US tried to force the entirety of Ukraine’s army into the kill box of Russia’s minefields. After the refusal by Ukraine to slaughter hundreds of thousands of soldiers, the US punished it by blocking aid for eight months. And this is just the tip of the Iceberg of American cynicism, betrayal, cowardness, and lies. Why not just tell the truth?
As an American, i can see a bit of truth in what you say but the true evil is Russia. A democracy is always going to be better than the closed society Russia has because discussion is possible. People aren’t put in prison for peaceful protest. It’s not perfect & often makes mistakes but no one learns without mistakes. Did the US know Russia would have a maniac in power for over 20 yrs when the nuclear weapons were negotiated? There was hope Russia would become a normal country & cooperate with other peaceful countries. Nuclear weapon proliferation is not a goal for anyone sane.
Can can you be so delusional? The nukes were Russian made and Ukraine had no technical means or expetise to mantain them.

I hope you don't believe what you wrote. US suggested to include Ukraine to NATO, not Ukraine. Ukraine and Russia had no problems with each other until the US politics started to go on the way Brzezinski talked about. Ukraine is 100% US fault. Prof. Mearsheimer had a great speech at Chicago University in 2014, available on YT.
