Steve doesnt realize it the first time and robin looks so hurt then steve realizes the truth and thinks for a while and instead of being upset (cause its not the best situation to confess to a girl who you didnt know is a lesbian) he supports her and makes her laugh when she feels destroyed Now that is great character development on steves side and great relation between the two characters Them being besties is much better than being a couple

If they would be together, the next season would just be relationship drama probably, so this way they get to stay as the banter duo which I’m 100% for
I think the beauty of Robin's story from the beginning is that most, not all, but most of the viewers thought that she was this outcast who didn't get noticed by Steve and that she wanted to be with Steve when in actual reality, some part of her wanted to BE Steve because all the girls noticed him, not her. I think it's a nice change in terms of storyline. Like some commenters would say, if they ended up together, it would've been too predictable and too generic. This relationship of theirs gave us a friendship we never knew we needed. there's a lot of gay guy characters with straight female characters friendship, so it's nice to have this from Netflix :)

*I was obsessed with you* I know the writers made it that way to mislead the audience, but I appreciate how it actually means that Robin looks up to Steve, and now they're best friends
Tbf, she made it clear in her next line after that, that she was obsessed with the things he had, not really him. “We still just want to be popular, accepted, normal.” Since she felt like an outcast because of her sexuality, she just wanted to be seen as normal and to have people like her like people did with Steve. At the time, since we didn’t know her sexuality, I assumed she was just a social outcast in school. Them being love interests seemed too obvious, so I always viewed them more as friends from the start, and this scene was one of the ones that made me sure they wouldn’t end up together by the end. I didn’t predict that she was gay though.
The last scene is low-key so beautiful in so many ways. For her to come out to him with some hard to swallow pill, but then he just turns around and starts instantly giving her light-hearted relationship advice. And not only that, but she reveals to him one of the deepest pains in her life, and he instantly makes her feel better about it by making her feel like there are better girls out there than Tammy. Low-key, Steve is like the best friend you could ask for lol.
It sucks that when Steve finally got over Nancy and found a girl he liked - one he genuinely liked, got to know and wanted to be with, not just some fling he could also casually hang around with from time to time - she turns out to be gay. But honestly, their friendship is beautiful and she looks and acts like his sister anyway lol so it's better this way xD They're going to have some real, epic moments together for sure - I'm talking like, _they can rival Steve & Dustin friendship_ kinda moments.
I'll never shut up about the music in the bathroom scene. It's so amazing and fits so well with the scene, how the beat keeps increasing and getting louder and louder the more they laugh.
The bathroom scene is still my favorite of season 3. You could feel the anxiety Robin had with coming out and the wave of relief washing over her when Steve accepted her and then criticized her choice in women.
Yeah I noticed that too. Steve clearly internalised that interaction with Nancy because it really hurt him, so "bullshit" when he says it carries a lot of baggage.
I love this scene even more now knowing how closed off she is about this part of herself and she felt safe enough with Steve to share that. What was once petty hate and jelousy turned into a genuine love between the two it's really sweet.
I had a feeling Robin had to be gay or something from the start? She just had such an idgaf attitude and her vibe/personality was kind of masculine and rough? (Not saying that makes people gay but yeah). I dunno I couldn’t imagine her with Steve romantically. They’re good friend though. But then again i always have conspiracies like I low-key think will might be gay and I thought robin was colluding with the Russians 😂
Maddie .. that’s not what I meant. I meant that lots of people were shocked when they found out that Robin was gay. But to me it was obvious from episode 1 before she had even confessed it. She just seemed quite carefree and masculine (in personality) and I didn’t ever ship her with Steve because she didn’t seem straight to me.
Their friendship is so wholesome and I absolutely love how Steve doesn’t even CARE that she’s gay. It’s like, she turns him down and she’s a lesbian (which back then was a lot less accepted) and he’s just like “aight that’s cool”
I am guilty of shipping these two but at the same time, I am actually happy with what they went with. They're both outcasts, with Robin being a lesbian and Steve being awkward around girls, so now they can both help each other out with their love lives and they are like the best kind of pals you could see here, with the exception of Steve and Dustin's brotherhood. Either way, this was just brilliant writing.
Steve accepting Robin for who she is is a great moment, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. But goddamn, do I want this guy to find love. Steve deserves it.
Tammy Thompson is missing out. Robin speaks several languages, plays sports, can play a musical instrument, is funny, resourceful, and highly intelligent. Not to mention, she has great tastes in movies. She is quite the catch.
The bathroom scene is honestly one of my absolute favourite scenes in the entirety of the show. It shows you that Steve has come such a long way from being the prick he was in Season 1, he just respectfully talked a moment to make process everything and then starts to banter with Robin like doesn’t even care. And that my friends is *chef finger kiss* the good stuff.
Robin: *scared Steve won't accept her*
Steve: *criticizes her choice in women*
Robin: *offended*

Them being love interests seemed too obvious, so I always viewed them more as friends from the start, and this scene was one of the ones that made me sure they wouldn’t end up together by the end. I didn’t predict that she was gay though.
yeah no that's not how it works, she said that because that was the past idiot 🤦♂️
@@verarogue477 read my reply
ps. that idiot part is not for you
@@azazelop5223 that's not correct
“The one with the teddy bears, duh” this is why I love Steve
The last scene is low-key so beautiful in so many ways. For her to come out to him with some hard to swallow pill, but then he just turns around and starts instantly giving her light-hearted relationship advice. And not only that, but she reveals to him one of the deepest pains in her life, and he instantly makes her feel better about it by making her feel like there are better girls out there than Tammy.
Low-key, Steve is like the best friend you could ask for lol.
"OKAY?! What the hell?!" *laughs even harder*
all i want is for robin to be happy. and i just want to see maya hawlke smile and laugh forever.

“robin and steve best scenes”
*yet it should be all of their scenes*
I'll never shut up about the music in the bathroom scene. It's so amazing and fits so well with the scene, how the beat keeps increasing and getting louder and louder the more they laugh.
Omg yesssss 😁
omg u nailed it
Me too!! It’s called “The First I Love You” I think
Steve always gets the raw end of the deal. I just hope he doesn't get beat up in the 4th season. Give the guy a break!
Well he does get hurt👀
@@itsizzi4369 whattttt
He said in an interview that it's a theme now so you can expect him to get beaten up
Well he'll get beaten up that's for sure. But we can hope he at least takes some W's next season
Every moment from this two is the best

I want to play Robin’s love interest in s4.
No me!
Relatable
Boi! Where do I audition um yes plz
get in line
I want that aswell
The bathroom scene is still my favorite of season 3. You could feel the anxiety Robin had with coming out and the wave of relief washing over her when Steve accepted her and then criticized her choice in women.
Robin was one of the best parts of Season 3. I love her and can't wait to see how she evolves in the next season.
She evolved great tbh
bisexual culture is being attracted to steve AND robin

These two elevated each other. All their scenes are great.
Him saying everything’s bullshit is a callback to Nancy season 2
Yeah I noticed that too. Steve clearly internalised that interaction with Nancy because it really hurt him, so "bullshit" when he says it carries a lot of baggage.
Steve: "Tammy Thompson, she's cute and all..."
*suspense*
BuT ShE's A ToTaL dUd!
The but canceled it out
I love this scene even more now knowing how closed off she is about this part of herself and she felt safe enough with Steve to share that. What was once petty hate and jelousy turned into a genuine love between the two it's really sweet.

Robin coming out to Steve on the floor of that bathroom as they come to is one of my favorite moments from season 3
The one with the teddy bears duh, nsjsbsjshs” -Steve Harrington 2019
When she asks him how many children is he friends with in my head I was like “ almost all of his friends are children” lol
For that matter so was his thought too lol
I mean just the look on his face when she says it
Well after he ditched the toxic friends he didn't seem to have others his age he could stand... besides Robin.
OMG this made me cry and smile at the same time 😢❤️❤️
i love how robin tells him she’s into girls amd steve is like:

The scoop’s troop is my new favourite thing
They were so lucky to through up in the toilets on time. Nobody has better timing than that.
Well that’s a strange thing to notice
When you are going to throw up you kinda notice it
Dude are you blind
Nadia Cumming it is strange but I guess you could say we’ve seen...stranger things
...I’ll show myself out
*my sis while watching stranger things s3*
Sis: Omg I ship them😍
Robin: I'm lesbian
Sis: oh.... never mind
They’re both great characters on their own and together have amazing chemistry and timing. Maya/“Robin” is a hell of an actress
_Shimizu_ of course she was gay from the start 😂 she just hadn't told steve 😂😂
Maddie .. that’s not what I meant. I meant that lots of people were shocked when they found out that Robin was gay. But to me it was obvious from episode 1 before she had even confessed it. She just seemed quite carefree and masculine (in personality) and I didn’t ever ship her with Steve because she didn’t seem straight to me.
I still think she’ll end up with Steve for some reason
Will is gay Mike even say “it’s not my fault you don’t like girls!”
Itz Azzzur sAme
Them just continuing laughing after the "what the hell" is honestly such a mood haha😂
Their friendship is so wholesome and I absolutely love how Steve doesn’t even CARE that she’s gay. It’s like, she turns him down and she’s a lesbian (which back then was a lot less accepted) and he’s just like “aight that’s cool”

Hi Anne Boleyn
I’m loving their dynamic together! Platonic male/female relationships are always so good/funny.
Steve is the definition of how to write a characters growth
I am guilty of shipping these two but at the same time, I am actually happy with what they went with. They're both outcasts, with Robin being a lesbian and Steve being awkward around girls, so now they can both help each other out with their love lives and they are like the best kind of pals you could see here, with the exception of Steve and Dustin's brotherhood. Either way, this was just brilliant writing.
Steve accepting Robin for who she is is a great moment, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
But goddamn, do I want this guy to find love. Steve deserves it.
She sounds exactly like her mom, it's incredible!
Robin: “you see that table over there. To your right.”
**Steve looks to the left**
Robin: “no your other right!”
I’m dead I-
Steve went from stereotypical bully character to the best mom/babysitter of the year, to gay rights activist
Love Robin and the Duffer bros for simultaneously pulling one of the greatest straight-bait and comedic duos ever lmao
So like
Every scene with both of them?
It's actually not possible to dislike these two. They are the heart and soul of the show.
0:44 “since when?” lol she sounded cute as hell.

I absolutely love Robin’s laugh , it’s so wholesome😂
Tammy Thompson is missing out. Robin speaks several languages, plays sports, can play a musical instrument, is funny, resourceful, and highly intelligent. Not to mention, she has great tastes in movies. She is quite the catch.
Steve always gets his face distyoed in every season in the middle episodes
Season 1: by Jonathan
Season 2: by Billy
Season 3: by some Russians
robin is such a queen, love her so much

Damn this smile girl ♥️
I loved this scene, the soundtrack the camera, the acting everything was amazing, such a cute scene
