- Sound comparison QSC vs EV. After running a few tests on both speakers the EV speakers sounds a lil more powerful than QSC. The QSC speaker is rated at 2000w but sounds more like 800 to 900w.
Dude do you not know how sound works? of course you can't go from a 15 to a 10. the 10" speaker is make to be used with subs for small events. Wattage doesn't equal loudness
You need to know more about speakers
I own the QSC 12.2 and the EV that you have and I can say from a live music perspective the QSC wins hands down. It's clarity is way better and even though the larger EV cabinet and speaker push out more bass, the QSC bass is way tighter. For live music the QSC wins and I believe it is rated at 1000w RMS.
The zlx is the lowest model of EV. When comparing k12 it should be done with at least a ekx if not Etx, the experience wil be different. I still like Qsc a whole lot and own a pair of k152 and a pair of k118 subs. They are killer. But your comparison is not just
QSC is worth every penny. Just bought the k10.2 yesterday and we love it.

Watts dont determine loudness. Decibels do.
The EV ZLX 15BT is an amazing speaker and blows alot of competition out of the water.

If you compared the zlx-10 to the k10.2, you would've put the zlx's on craigslist.
Qsc fans are upset about this video I made sorry guys I didn't mean to talk down on QSC I was just giving an honest opinion about how the speakers sound. Anyone can slap numbers on a speaker and pretend that it's better just because the numbers say they are bottom line put fake numbers on speakers to trick people to buy your merchandise we gotta call these people out.
I like your review thanks for taking the time to post it. Im searching for speakers atm and feeling that qsc may be a little to hyped and to over priced but hey i could be wrong. Ive owned lots off different powered speakers over the last couple of years including behreniger eros, mackie thumps, JBL Eons and the ev ZLX12p and i can say ZLX are the best in that price range hands down. I currently own a JBL PRX rig and a Yamaha Dxr rig and love both but am looking to get into some Qsc speakers or EV ETX. I found your video helpful because you gave your honest opinion so what if you are comparing a 10" to a 15" i didn't feel that was the point of the video i felt your point was i have a speaker hear that cost probably double what the other one cost and the cheaper one performs better i don't know maybe i got it wrong sometimes do. You got sold on the label that 2000 watts but that’s peak watts. Qsc is wrong for that they should have labeled them 1000 watts because that’s what they really are. Now if you would have bought the QSC K12.2 you would have had a totally different experience. I would say go to a guitar center when you get a chance and check them out when you get a chance. Keep it up
Your comparing a 15” to a 10” u have more head room in that 15” cabinet. Theres no way in hell EV takes out QSC
Your 15” has more than double the cone area of a 10”. You can’t beat physics.
I totally agree with DJ Michael Malice. You are comparing the wattage and what about the drivers used in both they don't match at all. Compare it with QSC 12.2 and tell us.
Wattage is not a reference to compare two speakers. Even less when it’s peak. The Qsc is about 1000 rms which is continuous. Besides the 15 inch speaker will always have more punch and bass because it’s a way bigger woofer. When comparing you should look at continuos or rms wattage, size of the speaker, quality and clarity of sound, reach and coverage etc.

It depends on what to compare. I personally worked for ZLX15 and I can definitely say that QSC 12.2 will be used as children ZLX

I had qsc hpr series. They were beast speakers. Even wen clipping they sounded amazing and LOUD!! I thought i was upgrading wen i sold them and bought a paid of kw122 well those speakers were absolute garbage and so were the subs KW181piece of shits. But i heard and out to the test the k12.2 and just like the old HPR series there beast. Even wen clipping there loud and clear

i don't listen to other people i brought QSC n 2015,K-12, 9 years later it's sounding as good as when i first brought no tweaking just plug n play live bass vocals + backing tracks no comparison QSC is Quality that last worth every penny hands down, sorry EV speakers a different league of less quality

Wow, that is the worst comparison / misinformed video I have ever seen. I actually own the EV ELX115p, Yamaha DXR8, QSC K12 and QSC HPR151i, so I know these manufactures very well. That order I put them in is good to the best for my venue demands.
This comparison was about sound and price $ The k10.2 and the k12.2 are more expensive $ then zlx EV.. you can buy an EV for under $500 and eaven tho zlx is an entry level EV it kicks ass. But everyone is different some people may prefer the smaller qsc speakers that are still pretty loud..

@@DJKEYS-br1xh .Baby them EV's because they are notorious for shutting down when pushed hard and eventually burning the cheap amp that is in it. Qsc =quality.
The comparison should between your EV and the QSC KW-152 both 15"

You are comparing a 10 inch speaker with a 15 inch speaker.... thats not a good comparison.
You should've comparing EV 10 AND QSC 10 , AND DON'T FORGET THE 6 YEARS WARRANTY QSC GIVING YOU BECAUSE IT'S NOT A ENTRY LEVEL SPEAKER, I HAVE THE QSC 10 INCHES K SERIES AND HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY MAYBE THEY NEED A SUBWOOFER TO HAVE THE BASE YOU ARE MISSING. THANKS FOR THE COMPARING VIDEO

I have the QSC K12.2 and the EV zlx-15p - first of all there is no comparison. I bought the EV as a monitor and it cannot handle nearly as much power as the QSC. I've never seen my QSC clip once, while the EV limit light was instant AND I smelled something burning. Here you compare a 10 inch version of a 2000 watt to a 15 inch version ... they will have different sounds to begin with so a better comparison would have been the K12's but not really..there is no comparison... I gather the EV EKX line is more robust and in line with QSC power and quality, ZLX is a budget speaker, my rockville's are probably better sounding to be honest..
Rockville's are DEFINITELY NOT sounding better than those EVs

I'm surprised he compared a QSC 10 in to EV 12. I have purchased QSC 12 n 2015 after 9 years of continued service it finally went to the shop for service an had to rent EV 12 no comparison I will NEVER use EV 12 over QSC 12 they're in different leagues to make the EV sound good u need a few lessons in sound engineering QSC plug an play an the quality live bass, vocals, backing tracks tight full sound that stands the test of time for proof of Quality QSC out class EV no comparison not even close!

Stop talking trash about QSC. Yorkville happens to use Celestion drivers in some of their boxes. The same brand QSC uses in alot of their boxes..so maybe that's why you like Yorkville. Google it.
